Very interesting video, I though I was the only one in the planet thinking about structuring Teams teams.
    A couple of points:
    - I usually create a team per department with a number of channels (standard or private) and then one specific shared channel to allow for collaboration between let's say HR and Sales or HR and a bunch of specific users. Pls note that non HR users will only have access to the shared channel and not the other channels. How would you accomodate your structure for this type of inter-departmental collaboration?
    - I'm curious to know what your solution for archiving is going to be because AFAIK you can archive teams but not channels.
    Thanks for sharing!!

      Very good points.
This "channel deep" strategy works in that way with some caveats.
The collaboration outside of the department is only for files. Not tasks and other "tab related items".
If that's the case, I'll build channels per department and just share files with external folks at the folder level.
If the collaboration is more than files, then I would consider this a "project" and that would fall under the project team with its own respective channel.
We custom build our archive process with power automate... usually, moving files to a designated archive site/document library with the proper retention policies, and then delete the channel.
I feel channel archiving "should" be a thing

Great stuff as usual. Do you know if it's possible to change the Privacy on a Team after it was created? For example, I have a team set to Private that has been that way for a long time. I would like to change it to the Shared privacy without having to recreate the team and content. Thank you.

Thank you, you can change the privacy setting of an existing team, but I think you want to change the setting for an existing channel (which you can NOT do). We create a new "shared" channel under an existing team and move the needed files from the old channel to the new channel....hopefully this makes sense

@@DeShonClark Yes, absolutely! I did mean to say channel. Thank you!
