- There have been countless cereal mascots over the years. In this video I discuss a few of my favorite cereal mascots that are no longer with us.

O M G!!!!!!!!!!! Big Mixx!!!!! That was the character I had forgotten when I was a kid. I kept trying to explain it to my brother but he couldn't remember it either.
Tony the Tiger has never forgiven Snap, Crackle, and Pop for taking away Kellogg's Frosted Rice from his kid Jr. to sell them as Frosted Krispies. His son disappeared after that and Tony's never been the same.
Rethink your history, Mr. The Clown was the original mascot for Rice Krinkles until he was replaced by So-Hi in the late 50s.
The guy who Did The voice of snarf from ThunderCats voiced so high that is very surprising to find that out
Big Mixx! My hometown of Yakima, WA represented in that one.
Linus had an awesome theme song!
1:39 RIP Headphone Users 😕😕😕
I remember Big Mixx. My family liked the commercials and I think bought it.
Wow, thank you for bringing the existence of So-Hi to my attention. I don't think I've ever seen something so hilariously racist sell something as benign as cereal. Great video.
O.jay 's was a favorite of mine. The cowboy with the 🍊 juice flavored cereal 🥣.
I remember "Big Yella" from Kellogg's Sugar Corn Pops... I heard that singer Jerry Reed provided the voice of Big Yella.

The word gnu reminds me a word from dr suess books.
The RK box w/the Clown dates from the 1950s, I forgot to say.
Oh, wow, i forgot about Big Mixx.
Big Mixx. Forerunner to Honey Bunches of Oats.
I may be mis-remembering this, but it seems that I once got a box of "Indian Style" cereal -- probably by Kelloggs. It was essentially sweetened puffed wheat, much like Sugar Smacks (I refuse to call them "Honey Smacks" ;-)). Does this sound familiar to anyone?
It actually was Sugar Smacks. They had the photo of an Indian on the box before they replaced him with Dig-Um the frog.
So Hi was a cartoon cereal character back in the 1960's. He was no more a racist than Mr. Yunioshi. And his sheep said "Ahhhh...Bahhhh -So,
Rice Krinkles were Ahhhh-Bahhhh-So-AWSOME. I wish they'd bring'em back. Thanks for the history.
You forgot buffalo bee (rice honeys) and handa dandy and candy from (sugar crisp)
What's The Cartoon Called?
What about the kangaroo mascot for Frosted Flakes
Yep, Katy the kangaroo is retired too. I think I talked about her in the Frosted Flakes vid
what about frosty o's with chars of Tenesse tuxedo
Yep! Didn't have time to discuss them all, but Frosty O's was a good one!

Wheat Hearts came third, and was advertised by using Sherman And Peabody from the Peabody's Improbable History of Rocky and Bullwinkle fame.
Kombo's? What about Strawberry Corn Flakes?
The RK box you lofted was a 1950s one. RK debuted in the 1950s. The Clown came 1st, then So-Hi who, based on my investigations, disappeared somewhen in 1969, to be replaced by Kid pix. In 1974, when I was 6 yo, I foolishly grabbed a FRK ("Frosted Rice Krinkles", as the cereal was by then branded) box, expecting a goodtasting cereal. Dude, was I wrong! Its frosting tasted so vanillate and fake, it failed to be funny. I wanted to dump it, but my Mother (1929-2004) angrily said "no, you finish it-wastin' my money..." And finish the box, I did, vowing never to buy FRK again. Never gave a fuck about it again - FRK could've died in 1982, the same yr the original CC did. Oh, BTW-by 1974, the Kid pix'd been dropt, to give way to a bowled depiction of the cereal; the mark "Frosted Rice Krinkles" rendered somewhat similarly to the mark "Super Sugar Crisp".
Great channel, Man.
Thanks for watching and thanks for all the info! :)
R.I.P
They should retire those squares for Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I don't think Cinnamon Toast Crunch should have any mascots anymore.
That Clown was creepy and that's why it's recalled
My asain in me is rollin My eyes
Sugar rice krrrrrrinkles!
what was the show called?
I think it's called the linus the lionhearted show
POST HEART OF OATS 1959
I gotta say, I feel as a man of Irish descent, Lucky from the Lucky Charms cereal is a racist representation of Irish people, but because we're European, people look the other way, so is life.

Watch this: ruclips.net/video/owrgTmx9pGo/видео.html . Some of the music here was also used with Linus and friends to sell the same cereals. Speaking of Bugs Bunny, you should cover Wheatabix sometime.
There are other Bugs Bunny cereal ads online, too.
Stupid FCC.... Why, is it not OK to sell something like cereal to kids through having it's own show... But everything else like toys is OK?!? We still have cereal commercials! But things like this can't happen anymore just because it's a longer commercial?
