Fantastic video - really informative and looking forward to seeing how Joe progresses in part 2. Aside from the detailed explanations and the use of annotations, what also makes this a useful video, and I think this is one of the first I've seen saying this, is that it's good to practice with a reduction on the crouch / lowering of the core. Looking forward to the next video 😄
Definitely going to share this on Reddit (r/NewSkaters) where this will be a boon to a large number of beginners who just can't quite grasp what's going wrong with the own ollies.

Thank you for the support! My goal is to make joe aware of all the critical parts of the ollie and give him drills that will help him build some feel for each one independently as he works to put it all together. For people who can't find "feel" easily these videos should help create some muscle memory long term that will empower them. Thank you for sharing this with others there will be more to come.

Your videos are so helpful! I've watched a ton of videos on how to ollie and I think I'm finally understanding how to ollie after your videos.

That is great to hear! So thankful we could help you along the way! Ollies are a process that I think just gets refined slowly over a lifetime!

Thank you for this video! Can't wait to go out and try, and keep in mind to not drop down my back heel below the line! That's the best tip, right there! Golden! :) Is there a video of Joe's ollies afterwards? can't find it

I'll have to do an update edit of Joe's ollies! That guy is a dedicated hard worker so you know he is improving when he can:)
