experimenting with garlic

I'm this video I talk about my first experience with garlic and where I think I went wrong.
I also go into my plan for another experiment with growing garlic, these are unrefrigerated hardneck cloves and I decided to grow two batches, one in a raised container and another in a row in the ground.
it was my understanding that hard neck garlic requires much colder temperatures than soft neck garlic in order to split so I want to see which will work better for helping the cloves split/divide for spring. and then next year if both of the hard neck garlic groups die out or don't grow good bulbs then I'll fall back and try some soft neck starts from a reputable source rather than store bought bags from a grocer.
it's been a week or so since I recorded this and all of the garlic cloves have sprouted quite well and are growing.
