When I lived in Phoenix I would drive the 7 hours to Brian Head to avoid the zoo at Snowbowl. Love the fact that even when its was crowded its not compared to the insanity of Snowbowl on the weekends. Awesome resort and awesome people. Snowmobile tour should be a must add to any trip to Brian Head.

@@tw8181 That's awesome, the first place I ever went skiing was Snowbowl when I was twelve and lived in Chandler, AZ, it is very crowded these days for sure. I'm glad you discovered BH, it is a nice resort. We do have some incredible snowmobile trails as well, I love it up there. Thank you for watching the video!

I wouldn't know, luckily I handed off my camera to other patrollers so we could see what their day was like. I had a good day nonetheless, just no sliding for me yet.

Great videos . Really enjoying all of the content. I am thinking of taking my RV to Brian Head next week. Is there any places you suggest we stay ?

@@JoshuaMercer-r5n You could stay down here in Cedar City where there are more restaurants, grocery stores, things to do at night, etc. or you could actually park your RV in the Giant Steps parking lot up in Brian Head. If it is snowing up there (let's cross our fingers) you might need to move the RV around a bit in the parking lot for our snow removal team though. Have you guys been to Brian Head Resort before?

Hey, just curious as to the process to becoming ski patrol. Live down in Cedar and would love to have something to do over the weekend as I'm FT during the week. Love the videos!

@@bigdan8461 The first thing is that you'll need medical training, a lot of our patrollers are either Wilderness Outdoor First Responders, EMT's, Paramedics, ER Nurses, etc. Secondly you need to be able to ski or snowboard at an advanced intermediate to expert level as we need to be able to access any part of the mountain. Being in good physical condition is pretty key as well, toboggans, gear, patients, can be heavy. Beyond all of that, being able to be a good team member is very important. If you are interested, our Ski Patrol Director is a gentleman named Andy and his assistant is Kenadee. You could either call the resort and ask for them or better yet swing by the Ski Patrol room at Giant Steps and speak with them personally. Let me know what other questions you may have.

@ Thank you! I have WFR course scheduled in March! I will definitely have to stop by and talk to them! Would definitely be interested in doing something over the summer if they have patrol then.

@@bigdan8461 That's awesome, that is a good course, especially for what we do. We do have Bike Patrol through the summer but really it isn't much like Ski Patrol. If you watch a couple of my Bike Patrol videos you'll see what I mean - much lower tempo.
