This was a beautiful and heartbreaking movie and Katie Holmes deserved at least one Oscar. I thought her performance was magnificent. She wasn't really on my radar before but I just ordered a bunch more movies with her from the library.
This movie brought tears to my eyes. 😢Such an amazing movie. Katie Holmes-Diana and Julia Mayorga-Benita and all the other cast did a wonderful job. I plan on watching it again.

I just loved this beautiful film. The entire movie was a poignant and powerful poem that only those who have glanced over the abyss will be able to fully grasp.
This was not what I thought it would be. It was better! Wonderful performance by the lead (character of Benita).
Reminds me of the struggles of my son. Only this is coming across a bit more optimistic. I will try and watch.

This film was beautiful, magical, a work of art! We r broken but it's r fractures that make us beautiful, stronger! I loved this film! Great performances all round but especially Katie Holmes, who directed n produced it n her acting was a delight n my new discovery the beautiful n amazing Julia Mayorga! Great film!

She filmed MAD MONEY in my hometown many years ago and could not have been a nicer and more gracious person. I didn't work on that movie but my friends did and said she was a delight. I'd kill to act with her.

This could have been a good movie. Instead it was just a touch of sad stories all linked together. I kept thinking when is the creep that did her gonna show up as a threat? Benita is a smart girl with promise in many things, art, poetry, fashion, etc. (where did she get all those classy clothes?) Her character was under developed. I would have liked to see her come out of her shell, and see the possibilities of her life.
Disappointing movie. It was ok but it missed the mark. It lacked depth in my opinion. I liked the main actress but the screen play was lacking.

@@Jo-lp1px I can’t remember. It was a while ago. I think I ordered it on prime. I do realize it was not so far from real life, however, the more I think about it. addiction is a result of self loathing and the problem with this movie is it only scratched the surface. The characters were one dimensional. If we could have seen into her past and gotten more of an understanding as to what led to her decline it would have been a much better movie.
