For me personally, Two movies of Eddie's that I can't decide which one I love more. I think both are fantastic movies, and both are his best work imo. *Coming to America* and *Trading Places* He co-wrote, directed, and starred in both movies with the other actor who was co-starring and writing with him. Arsenio Hall as a co-writer on Coming to America, and Dan Aykroid as a co-writer on Trading Places. I absolutely adore both movies, and I think they are Eddie Murphy's best work, Masterpieces in film history. (Most of his stand-up shows are fantastic as well, one of them being his Delirious special) I just can't choose which one is better.😅✌️✨️
And who can forget the King's immortal words (not included here) - "so you see my son, there is a very fine line between love and nausea." As well as his other classic "I tied my own shoes once. Believe me, it is an overrated experience."
I can kind of understand why they're not in this, and that is because they are a standalone. Meaning that the ones in this video are standard best. When the others are premium.
1:49 I only just now realised that not only do the twins speak in perfect sync, they also both say "Theresa", implicating they have the same name. 😂😂😂😂
This film remains one of my all time favourites. Not one single opportunity is missed to make a joke, and the way pretty much everything and everyone is sent-up is as good now as it was then.
Love this movie! Lisa is so gorgeous. James Earl Jones and Madge Sinclair were perfect for the role and went on to become Mufasa and Sarabi ❤ The Queen Aoleon was so regal
and then the robber says "And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.."
That attitude still exist in America in spite of the internet🤣😂 I still have to deal with stupid questions whenever they hear my South African accent lol 😆😆🤣
Looking back on it, it must be embarrassing for him to have portrayed the stereotypical black man as a robber but he did his role in satisfactory manner
They don‘t write and do stuff like this no more. Eddie‘s Masterpiece: Not silly BS in a row. Great Acting, powerful lines (Traditions must and always do change) and good jokes. Along with an amazing cast.
Akerm: "So you would share your bed, and your fortune with a beautiful fool......" Semi: "That's how it's always been with men of power. It is Tradition" Akeem: "It is always tradition that times must, and always do change, my friend......"
I saw this movie few times as a young kid more than 30 years ago. I thought it was hillarious then but looking at this clips now shows me that most of the jokes flew over my head ….im definitely gonna rewatch this again
5:01 Zazu: The guests are waiting, Your Majesty. Mufasa: LET THEM WAIT! I’m talking to my son. RIP James Earl Jones. You will always be Mufasa and Darth Vader to me. 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️

Why would you are asking about a movie that is so old? Are you trying to get more reviews etc.?

30 plus years later, and that club scene still resonates more than ever 🤦🏿♂️
How so?

40 years!
@DarnellHendeason-dk3uw 🫡
James Earl Jones was perfect for his role. All about him is majestic.
Mufasa from the lion king
Thulsa Doom in Conan The Barbarian
Its Samuel Jackson
He's even.....Imperial?
Darth Vader, Mufasa, Tulsa Doom...James Earl Jones is made for royalty. RIP Legend.
Eddie's masterpiece! Watched it more than a dozen times
Just a dozen?
you forget how great the facial expressions on the actors are in this. it conveys so much character and humor.
Nobody forgot😂

@@Drgroomes Same, I saw it in middle school and didn't catch it then.
Samuel Jackson can be in any movie for 5 minutes and make an impact !! 😂 👍👍
Goodfellas when he gets whacked by Tommy.
@@hectorlopez1069I forgot he played the gangster named "Stacks" in Goodfellas.
That movie is a classic.
RIP Ray Liotta 💕🙏🕊
"I´m into the group thing..."
The face of Arsenio is unpriceless jajajaja
Coming to America is Eddie Murphy's very best movie
He stopped trying after he made all his money with voicing a donkey
Idk man Beverly Hills 1 & 2 are such classics too lmao
One! Beverly hills cop is my fave! 👌

It's unforgivable that the "Good morning my neighbours" and the Akeem singing "To be loved" aren't in this video.
I can kind of understand why they're not in this, and that is because they are a standalone. Meaning that the ones in this video are standard best. When the others are premium.
Yea you know baby. I'm almost single My husbands on death row
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ahahahahaha
I laughed too hard at that 😂
Arsenio Hall is brilliant in this..
He definitely is
Especially when he was in drag 😅
How you forget the barbershop scene and the church scene!?😂
The barbershop were they go crazy, cursing at one another.
1:49 I only just now realised that not only do the twins speak in perfect sync, they also both say "Theresa", implicating they have the same name. 😂😂😂😂
R.I.P. James Earl Jones. And Let’s Not Forget John Amos, Luis Anderson, And Madge Sinclair!
Вот это фильм! А актёры какие!!! 😂😂😂😂Спасибо, Эдди и Арсенио и всем всем всем за счастливое время
4:39 - you know there is a philosophical lesson in that: "A man who wants a wife who does what he wants should ask his dog to become one instead."
There is for sure. A dog would make a better wife than a woman
This film remains one of my all time favourites. Not one single opportunity is missed to make a joke, and the way pretty much everything and everyone is sent-up is as good now as it was then.

Love, Honor and Respect to all the incredible Actors from Coming To America.
The best of eddy murphy
I think the club scene was the best part of the movie
and then the robber says "And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.."
such a brilliant scene & movie! 😍🙌🏽💯
"Wearing clothes must be a new experience for you."
That was bad. 😁 The Daryl character was a real douche.
Unbelievably. The Lionel Ritchie knockoff look didn't help either😂😂
That attitude still exist in America in spite of the internet🤣😂

This is one of golden collection movies😊
Samuel Samuel Jack son - that's a naughty boy doing a robbery from 0:04
He ain't gonna rob McDowells when Eddie and arsenio are working there.
I cherished this movie in childhood.
@0:16 Who would have thought this man would become one of the
most iconic actors in movie history
Wow.. Was that Samuel L. Jackson as the armed robber?
Yeah, I'm fairly sure that was Samuel L Jackson as the diner robber. It was one of his first films.
Yes, he is.
Yes, that’s him. What’s in your wallet?
Looking back on it, it must be embarrassing for him to have portrayed the stereotypical black man as a robber but he did his role in satisfactory manner
No, it was Will Smith
I wish they had written in Samuel L. in the new coming to america movie as a redeemed former criminal turned no-nonsense Judge lol.
Honestly the best scene in this movie is from the beginning to the end 😎
It's sad how awful the sequel is.
One sad thing is that now James Earl Jones passed away
😊
I didn't watch it. Is it really that bad? I actually loved the first movie.
I can't bring myself to watch. This movie is too special to have ruined.
@@johnr.7906 I tried, and got maybe 20 minutes into it. I was done then.

That club scene is one of my favorite. I’m still laughing in 2024.
"It is also tradition that things must, and do, change, my friend"
Samuel Jackson's facial,.😖so funny
Eddie Murphy✌️
I didn't know that John Oates have a cameo appearance 1:18 in this movie. 😮 Cool!
In Pulp Fiction the answer should've been "Mc Dowells" when Jules asked Brett where they got their Burgers from.
😂
Diseased rhinoceros pizzle. That's clever. 😀
I love the quote at 8:40. “Only dogs are to obey. If you truly love your wife, you will value her opinion.”

Eriq LaSalle was great in this. Perfectly cast.

I have not seen any Hollywood actor like Samuel L. Jackson who uses the F word more...😮
Lionel Richie, Barrack Obama, Kanye West, Lawrence Fishbourne... So many famous black people in this movie.
What? I didn't see any of them in the movie.
