You can try to use cocao butter instead of or mixed with the wax. If you get the one that looks like white chocolate chips, then melt it, you know it will set well. Whichever option you choose, I strongly suggest you use less. Do 2 thinner coats of the moulds with setting time between each layer. Put your filling and allow to set, then put 2 thin coats of wax/cocao butter on the top (again with time to set between). You only want a thin shell. I use this method when making my soft centred vegan chocolates (using cocao butter in the chocolate to help set).

As someone who has tasted beeswax this is accurate but it’s harder, stickier it’s pretty satisfying to chew and it has a better flavor if you have honey on it
An easier way is using wax from something like nik-l-nips and melting it down to make your own! They wax won’t have any to little flavor. You can pour it into molds, fill it up, and freeze them.

I love buying honeycombs bc I like the sensation of chewing the honey out of the grid. It's like nature's gusher. If you've ever tried honeycomb, then you might like this too. Though the candies seem a lot thicker and it's not a grid of flavors, so it's a different experience. There's more wax to candy ratio. Some people like swallowing honeycomb wax, I just like chewing on it and then leaving them in little balls to throw away. The flavor is like the most flavorless stale gum you've ever had 😭 it's not for flavor, but for texture. I think anyone who's curious enough should give it a try :)
Tip for next time, pour wax into the molds then flip the mold over so it's just a thin layer of wax instead of a really thick waxy layer. It might still suck because it's waxy though.

ik im a bit late but i keep getting this on my page so instead try to do a thinner layer of wax on the outside like the one shown at the start of the video because yours looked like there was 95% wax and 5% filling so maybe try a thinner layer im sure it will work!

Imma recommend smth that probably tastes like what wax candys look like,it’s real delicious and i love it. First you make jelly and cut it in squares (any size but small ones freeze faster) then you just put them in the freezer for sum hours (depending on how many cubes you put in there) and they’ll go very hard, the texture is literally so good and i love them, i don’t rlly like regular jelly but frozen jelly cubes are delicious, you can also coat them with whatever, like chocolate but i’ve never tried it before. Enjoy ☺️
