Love these sets! Had one and got rid of it because of a washed-out picture. I didn't have the patience to troubleshoot the video amp circuit.

Ooh I got one of those, and it still works.

Great Video Jordan!, I had one of these Admiral 9' B&W Sets a few years newer "1971", It had the instant on where the Tubes stayed parcialy lit when it was off, Used that set until 1980 when I got another Admiral Color set then sold it still working!, I'll be watching for the rest on this!, And thank you so much for fixing the Maggie 300 and doing the Video's on it!!

A delightful set. Shame the picture tube is tired. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

My mom had one like that. I inherited it and tried to hook my Atari up to it. The bottom of the screen was folded over on itself so videos games looked weird on it lol.

A lot of older those glues/coatings will absorb moisture from the air and that's what causes it to become corrosive over time.

If you stand the tube with those corroded pins immersed in distilled vinegar for a short while the green corrosion disappears. Thanks for another interesting video!

Cute little set. It is so cramped in there. Only thing worse is those 1960's 5" Sony b&W's or my next project an 1968 Symphonic 3" set. Tiny.

If the horizontal frequency is way off, then it's possible the high voltage is also low because the circuit is completely off tune. And that would also make a difference in brightness.

It's not a TV but a can of worms. Tuner dial is double the size it should be so it makes the set look smaller. A definite multi-
    part series.

As it's a portable you would think they would fit some sort of retainers on the tubes.

Having a multimeter with a low test current is good, but those diodes need a few million amps lol.
