just ordered a factory fit IC from Russ. You have done an awesome job supporting DHM even though you are on the west coast. Im spoiled since I'm only an hour away from the shop... Almost sold my ST for a mustang GT but the ST is such a great all around car... good luck with your sale. I hope either way you keep making videos and possibly getting awesome parts from Russ if he starts making parts for the golf lol. Been subbed for a bit!
I really appreciate your support! You're lucky :) I wish I was closer. It does't look like the sale is going to happen. I've had no real interest so I decided to take the car down and keep it for now. I have some major upgrades coming soon.
Thank you for the video man I've been looking at the DHM fmic+crash bar combo and have been trying to figure out how the airbag sensor gets reincorporated. Looks good!
Hey, how wide was this intercooler that you installed ? Also did you have much room to fit an even wider one after installing? Ive currently got a 100mm wide intercooler that I want to install to my FiST but don't know if it'll fit because of how wide it is! Thanks!
Nice work, I have the same FMIC with a Red crash bar. That thing is so fucking efficient. Even on the hottest days I'm like 8 degrees above ambient in traffic. I've driven down the e-way and have had temps 1.5-2 degrees above ambient in the cold.
What do you do with all the quest and gifted nutrition? Will you be sharing lifting videos too? Also are you part of the Fiesta St forum? ( really wanna know which one is the best)
I read a post from Mountune in the UK where you need to be careful about upsetting the cooling pack on the ST with a large intercooler. In their tests they found vertically increasing the size restricted the airflow to the radiator, which then causes the PCM to pull timing as a safety measure. Might be worth data logging?
That isn't really an issue with the DHM since they remove the crash bar and that automatically increases airflow. The DHM crash bar is a 1.5" bar compared to the huge stamped ford piece. Also most people that do this will open the bottom section of the hex grill and have even more air flow since they don't have to block the look of that ugly stock piece.
Newbie question: Is the larger intercooler used so you can push more boost? Was your intake air to hot? What stage tune would you describe this car to be at? How many horsepower? Looks like a super fun car. What will you get for your next project?
I have it so I can answer some of these for you. This intercooler will support more hp then the engine will. You can run full on big turbo swaps and never have to change this intercooler. At high boost your charge temps should look like Cobb stage one on the factory cute little thing.
Not really to run more boost, but make the same amount of boost more efficient by keeping in cooler and making it more dense. The Cobb intercooler was pretty much maxed out as far as efficiency is concerned. I wouldn't really consider it a "stage." It's running a bigger turbo with supporting mods and tune. It made 328whp on e30, the car and turbo could make more, but I'm out of fuel at this point. I really want to move to a Mk7 Golf R, but the FiST resale market is extremely soft and I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it sold anytime soon. I'm going to hang onto it until the right buyer comes along.
Great vid man. My buddy has the same IC and loves it. He got the crashbar and BOV powder coated Molten Orange! Looks sick. What offset are your wheels btw? They look wider than what Fifteen52 claims, or are you running spacers?
Thanks. No difference in performance or anything like that, but running it on the intercooler allows for more space to run a lower traction brace. With it on the charge pipe, there wasn't enough clearance. Plus, I really like the way it looks on the cooler.
I know this could be ask at the dealership but the guy I spoke with wasn't very helpful. I have a 2016 fiesta st and was thinking of going through the stages. would you happen to know how Ford is when it comes to modifications? and would you recommend upgrading parts while still under factory warranty? thanks in advance and I love the choice and colour of the wheels.
I know some of the Mountune stuff can be installed by a Ford dealer while still maintaining your warranty. I'm not exactly sure which parts, but that would be the best place for you to start looking.
There are federal laws on the books, they have to prove the mod caused the dmg. If your switch out your taillight and your trans fails you are safe. I mod everything and I've never had warranty issue. If you do your research and don't buy cheap you won't have a problem. I suggest a Cobb AP and rear motor mount before anything else. Then you can do an intercooler and go stage two. After that a down pipe, and exhaust. ect
@@LiteSwitch who makes the crash bar because i recently got a fiesta st and am trying to look for 1 so I can put on a more open grill and have a clean look and allow more air flow
+LiteSwitch I really enjoy your video, nice work man it looks simple to install it. BUT I am itching to ask you, what kind of wheels you have there? I just bought the 2016 Ford Fiesta ST few weeks ago. and those wheels you have looks sick on the fiesta
Crash bar is amazing. Saved my car. Lol. Awesome build.
Love your videos man I can't wait to build my FiST up!
Been loving these FiSt videos. Makes me really want one haha. Btw I love the look of the red BOV through the grill. Looks sweet
Thanks bro! They are definitely great cars for the money.
That intercooler is huge hopefully you don’t get any overheating problems with it blocking the way of the radiator, restricts a lot of air.

Awesome man. Sorry you couldn't sell it but also glad for more ST content!

I hope you are well, I know it’s been a long time since this video, but you remember where you bought that intercooler and the mount or model.
Great vids btw I was planning on buying one but I found a different car but found your channel and I really dig those wheels good luck love the car!
Thanks! What car did you end up going with?
Quest bars for days
Love the wheels. I'm local in san diego if you end up parting it out for any reason. It's a tough market right now.
I actually just put them up for sale today: www.fiestastforum.com/forum/threads/10318-FS-San-Diego-Fifteen52-Tarmacs?p=175564#post175564
So is that intercooler better then the cobb?

Nice Quest bars & chips in the background ;) is that what you eat in-between filming off camera? lol
No Mountune oil cooler?

Thanks man, nice. Yeah, my Cobb front mount was starting to get a little overworked.
This may have been answered many times before but what are those wheels? They look awesome!
Thanks! Fifteen52 Tarmac.

Eat em :) Oh, I don't know about that. We'll see. The only forum I really go on is: fiestastforum.com

Interesting. Yeah, I'll definitely be data logging to tweak the tune.

Lovely car and great videos. Subscribed
Thanks!
+LiteSwitch no problem,
Do you know the centre bore size of your Fifteen52 wheels, here in the UK they are limited sizes
Same as factory, 63.4mm.
+LiteSwitch Thanks for taking the time to reply, cars looking great cant wait to get started on mine

Thank you. Nice, I bet that looks great! I'm running the normal +42, no spacers.
+LiteSwitch they look damn good! I'm thinking about running the turbomacs for my OW FiST. I'm surprised they're the same as stock... They look wider.
Where did you get the aftermarket bash bar? And would this fit the 1.0T ecoboost red edition?
What's the soundtrack to this? Shazam is not working..BTW awesome videos!
Great vid, just wondering is there any difference running the blow off valve on the intercooler as to running it off of the charge pipe?
Shouldn't be anything if all of your connections are leak proof. The pipe is already pressurized.
Thanks. No difference in performance or anything like that, but running it on the intercooler allows for more space to run a lower traction brace. With it on the charge pipe, there wasn't enough clearance. Plus, I really like the way it looks on the cooler.

Like that crash bar is that a separate buy?
No, I don't believe so. The company that made it went out of busniess though. You might be able to find one used.
Sweeeeeet man thanks!
Don't ever go under a car without jack stand support!
It was there, you just couldn't see it. I leave the jack for extra safety.
Good man!
@@LiteSwitch who makes the crash bar because i recently got a fiesta st and am trying to look for 1 so I can put on a more open grill and have a clean look and allow more air flow
Your timing on posting this couldn't be better. Russ just emailed me saying mine will be ready soon. This looks like a pretty easy install.
Nice, hopefully it helps. Yeah, it's pretty straight forward.
+LiteSwitch I watched your video about the turbo a few weeks back, too. You're basically posting about everything I want to do to my car.
WoW. Very nice car. People would kill for the parts you take off of it. LoL.
Thank you! Haha the parts go to good homes.
Experience any lag with the bigger cooler
?
Good video, keep up the good work, I just need to talk to Russ and get moving on my build now.
Thanks man! Haha yeah you do.
Where are ya gonna post the Cobb ic for sale?
I'll put it up on fiestastforum.com as soon as I get a chance to take some photos.
what company made the intercooler and charge pipe? thanks!
deadhook motorsport makes the intercooler and mishimoto makes thecharge pipes.
Does this tubular crash bar fit focus st MK3 if so wheee do I get one, if not do you know anyone who does make them
I know your selling it but what is your next project?
I'm not sure if I'll be able to sell it, the market is super soft right now. I'd like to move to a Mk7 Golf R though.

I love my stage 1 Fiesta ST.
i spy quest bars in the corner #thebulkisreal

why are you selling your car?
I'd like to move on to a new project, if I can find a buyer for the FiST.
+LiteSwitch thats sad! your FiST looks really great and tastefully modded.
I hate the political side of Cali , especially all the laws surrounding emmisions but one thing im jealous of is the all black plates you guys get
Intercooler for sale? Hahah!
Haha I will be putting the Cobb intercooler up for sale soon.
why does every car video have techno playing in the background? f it...I'm gonna make my own damn videos...with death metal in the background.
