- After dealing with bad pliers holders for long enough, I made a simple but effective pliers holder for my pegboard. Watch to see this basic design take shape, and how it can improve your pegboard space.

Thanks for leaving in the footage about resizing the blocks. It's nice to see a video where even the pros have to try again. It's such a small act of modesty, but a huge testament to your character. And it shows that even a small project has its hurdles...
I really love the way you edit your videos, it makes me incredibly happy.
+Pocketomi Wow thank you! I really enjoy the editing as a creative exercise.
after watching your video on building a shelf, i built 6 shelves and they work great. Thanks.
Excellent, thanks
Good idea, Ben. I like that you can adjust the length and that you can hang scissors off it, too.
+Jack Bench Woodworking Thanks, I was surprised at how more useful it became after simplifying the design
I watched this video last year sometime and made one of these pliers racks. It has really served me well for that long. Great design. I also made some shelves with the same hook/hanger system you devised. They still work well. Now I have to figure out storing rolls of tape.
Thanks, I need to improve my tape storage as well :-)
Very well done Ben!
+Shaun Meighan Woodworking Thank you Shaun
Good ideas on both your peg board videos .
Thanks Ben! I love this! So much better for my metalsmith studio!!!
Great idea! Brilliantly executed.
Thanks Kriss!
Good idea. I'll make one Monday. Thanks for the demonstration.
Thank you, it's a simple shop project, hope it works out well for you
How far away from the wall is the dowel? I finally after twenty five years have a garage and I’m organizing tools. I think this is a simple and great idea for pliers. Though I did not go the route of pegboard because of it being a pain in the ass. I went with u hooks from a retail store display.
Nice. I'm making this tomorrow! Job well done 👍🏾
+themrnorwood Excellent, careful with those little drill bits!
I'm gonna keep this in mind! I finally cleaned up my pegboard and just have to figure out which wall is going to get covered!
+Michael Lawing Awesome. I really like pegboard for the flexibility it affords, but some of the standard hardware just falls flat.
Nice and simple, man! good job! like it!
+Cactus! workshop Thanks man, simplicity is always good.
Nice job. After you made your mistake and redrilled a new hole, why cut? Having 2 parallel dowels might be useful for a hammer-like tool or a set of drink umbrellas
You Sir are awesome for that!!!
Nice job. Thank you!
1:54, the mission was in jeopardy
thank you, I've been looking for this!
Gonna make this today and leave the dowel extra long to add pliers and to hang tape rolls off the ends.
fun Little build!
+Wood By Wright Thanks!
nice job Ben!
+Mike Kapotsy Thank you Mike
Was never really a fan of pegboard due to the fact that most of the attachments you buy are pretty pricey when you add them all up. And the fact if you just bump the hooks, then tools fall down. But lately I've been watching a few of these types of video's and I'm sort of coming around to the idea if you want to put the effort in to building custom racks. Cheers
Liking your videos, man. Thanks
Thanks
I did something very similar but one side is longer or further away from the wall. Since I have small and large pliers. Like in your video just cut one side shorter and then remount on wall.
Sounds like a good setup
Nice! What did you hang from the small ones (cut off pieces)? Should work for something. Sorry about the bit =\
Thanks. The offcuts just became scrap (garbage or firewood)
Going to build one today. The drill bit, bit made me laugh.
+Paul R (Keido) Go for it! ...made me laugh too
nice! i despise those stupid wire hanger things
+mike gager I can relate! ;-)
Ben: Being new to wood working, I would love to know the kind of wood and its dimensions. Just so I can follow along and not do too bad of a job. Is it 3/4" pine?
Yes sir... 3/4" inch pine. Those standard "1 by X" boards (3/4" thick) come in handy and are easily available.
I just bought 3 8' boards. 3 x 3/4 and 2 x 3/4. Redoing my tool pegboard and am going to make wood tool holders you wonderfully demonstrated. The pliers holder is especially interesting. I do not have a table saw but I did just buy a circular saw. I get to practice with it on these little projects. Thanks Ben.
Nice!
+Humus Workshop Thanks!
I wish there were solutions that didn't need high end tools.
I hate hose wire hangers
hahahahah @1:09 :-D
+Live Free and DIY hehehe... not as funny at the time, but yeah :-)
