My machine is a HP 3390 laser, but same pick up roller. I could see the black roller was a little shiny on one side. Removed it, brush scrubbed it with mild detergent and 91% alcohol , tested good right away.......and it's good for more to come. Thanks
damn it, I snapped the little white tab off while doing this :'( but it still seems to print without it if I rotate it properly. I'm worried it might come loose so maybe I'll stick a small piece of putty to stop it from rotating out of the socket.

This was helpful. i added some tape on the plastic roller before putting back the old rubber. it worked. Thanks for sharing!
