good reaction J. Cara, the musician, thank you. Escape My Mind from Grace's first songs is one of the liveliest, in my opinion, what stands out the most in this song is the rhythm, very contagious and the lyrics are very cool, the work in its entirety was excellent and matched a lot with the humorous way of the artist who expresses herself and sings very well, congratulations and "success always"!!!
The most genuine person on this planet, not a fake bone in her body, I love her as much as any other fan could, a genius song writer, a model actress and an incredible voice!
I have absolutely no musical knowledge whatsoever. I just go by how a performance makes me feel. Generally I prefer her solo renditions over those with her band or studio productions. My favourite performance from her is: Grace VanderWaal - "Live It Out" - IG Live (June 19, 2021) ruclips.net/video/KokdNg3JTOg/видео.html It has a superb range of vocals and repeating lyrics. I probably have weird views, but I cringe when I see people say she should sing with an orchestra. The fewer instruments the better in my opinion.
Well Stephen, your views are not wired my friend, I understand completely. Grace by herself is better than any other artist I know of by themselves. I do like her live with her band the most, but I like her singing so much, I will take it however it comes, period. The whole orchestra thing I'm not down with either, too much for me as well, but if she did it, I doubt either one of us would complain! LOL! Musical knowledge only lets you look deeper into the mouth of the beast, but it is not needed to feel music, love music, or for that matter understand it's overall meaning. Music is a language most everyone can speak, some are more fluent than others, but it does not take away from what either side of the fence feels. I might understand it on a deeper level, but that can hinder me sometimes, because, I look deeper, and that can sometimes leave you feeling empty because I cannot enjoy most "basic" music! At least not today's "basic" music.
The look on her face as she walks off to try caviar - priceless! Like she's on her way to the gallows. I came to the conclusion several years ago now that if Grace is the next *anyone* she's the next Carol Burnett - her timing is perfect and her inventiveness knows no bounds.
Well, let me share some things about Grace I have discovered. She performed on a stage and in millions of homes captivating an entire country, blew us away with her voice, became an instant star, dubbed an old soul, adorable as a kid, infectious smile, great sense of fashion, has a very unique voice, great song writer, great singer, great performer, funny, cares about the world. feels most comfortable on stage, considered a pioneer, she knows what she wants with her music, she has tossed far more songs than she has released, she's broken records, won awards that were not easy to win, and is a boss in the studio, do these traits ring any bells? There is one famous singer who shares her path almost exactly, I mean, it is eerie how similar these two are. The only other person in the history of music that she is sharing a path with, is the late great G.O.A.T himself, Michael Jackson, the most famous singer songwriter, hell the most famous human being to walk this planet aside from Jesus Christ, ever. Think about that for a moment, no name dropping can top that one, and no can argue that. Numbers don't lie, and he has the numbers, stats, and proof to his level of success. Grace Vanderwaal, our little barefoot queen, is already walking the path of the greatest entertainer in history, no one can touch his legacy, or so I thought, until I discovered Grace Vanderwaal!
I so wish that I could have sung Today and Tomorrow to my late wife Lorraine. To me it is the greatest love song ever. It is so unreal that Grace wrote this when she was filming Disney's Stargirl. The director saw the lyrics and put it into the movie, where is was used in the closing credits where it belongs. Don't say maybe, just don't wake me We can stay here for as long as we want And make forever last a while Leave the light on after the sun Leaves and goes to a far off ocean And lay here with me And I'll catch you Fallin' into me, fallin' into you Lettin' go of all the things I thought were true Fallin' into me as I'm fallin' into you It seems so clear but I don't know what to do I speak too much, you stay closed off But I can see your thoughts in the stardust Shining back at me As I catch you Fallin' into me, fallin' into you Lettin' go of all the things I thought were true Fallin' into me, as I'm fallin' into you It seems so clear but I don't know what to do Ooh Ooh Ah Mm Ah One day I'll be old and ugly Will you still be thinking of me? If we were as brave as we are now And I'll catch you Thinkin' of me, as I'm thinkin' of you Lettin' go of all the things I thought were true As you're fallin' into me, and I'm fallin' into you It seems so clear but I don't know what to do Ooh Ah Mm Mm Mm
I understand what you have said about rating Grace's songs. I find her latest song is always my favourite because she keeps growing in her genius. Her older songs, at the time they were performed, I thought, if she just keeps producing songs like that.. and then she changes her style and I think, no, like that song.. and then she changes again and think, darn, just anything she produces is the best. She doesn't fit a style or fit into a mold, she's ever changing and ever growing. I love that she dresses uniquely but appropriately for her age. She's now showing more skin but is still tasteful and she's now 18 so that's to be expected. I pray that she, now that she's living on her own, keeps her head on straight. I have faith that her strength of character will protect her from the nasty side of show business. But she seems to be surrounded by people that love her so she's not "on her own" in that sense.
Isn't she living with her sister? or is she on her own own now? And you're once again right as you have been many times, every stage of her career is better than the previous. that's what you do, you grow, and don't plateau. At least when you want ot stay relevant, and i love that she doesn't have a genre, it's about time we had an artist like that
@@j.manthemusician3335 yeah, she does live with her sister and I think she might also have a room mate but I meant, out of her parents' direct control, so to speak. And she does have Frankie, we can't forget Frankie.
@@peikathryn Goodness no, we cannot forget that little cutie. Yeah, I think they do have a roommate. But yeah, now that she is 18, I think we are about to see her gain some ground fast, and I think Columbia knows that Grace isn't just a singer song writer, they have seemed to be supporting her rather well, I think they know she is going to be big, I think they know just how special she truly is, and that standing in her way would only hurt them!
