I have become a Messianic believer of the Way of Christ without instruction from man but from the Holy Spirit who has guided me to this this ministry "Lion and the Lamb."

Am black and Christian. But always felt something was off in the church especially when I researched and found we honored so many pagan holidays and rather honour pagan Sunday than the Sabbath. I questioned why we couldn't follow through with Jewish festivals rather than the pagan ones.
I thank God for bringing me to this MESSIANIC movement. It's exactly what is perfect for me.
May God open the eyes and heart of the believers to truth and give us the courage to step away from false practices...

As someone raised Catholic, i'm so happy that we are all coming together! Even Christians are having a rediscovery of Jesus/Yeshua as it has become more personal, and away from the organization and dogma.. It seems that the message of Yeshua, is finally being heard from all creeds all over the world. We can all learn from each other and together!

The Nicene council did not decide that Jesus was God; it emphasized that Jesus is God to counter heresies that rose. The church repeatedly had to counter heresies that arose and had to officially state at these councils the beliefs of Jesus' followers.

But after that generation passed, it was all Greeks and Romans converting. It suited them very well since they were unfamiliar with theJewish writings enough to compare.

    • @benlassu1880
      @benlassu1880 3 года назад +1

Early Christianity was nothing Jewish, it may have started with Jesus and a few followers, among them several rebels, but it took off as a movement akin to Greek thought and Roman paganism since it was more attractive to suit their culture. In the early letters of Paul, and the gospels, when read in comparison with the Tanakh, gives off the true purpose of Christianity, that is to abort from everything "Old Testament" and introduce through Greek and Roman ways everything that G-d actually warned about and hated, and now, through the blood of a man hanging from a tree we are supposed to believe that he is the way, life and truth and no one goes to the father but through him is a falsehood and lie.
Whether it was Jesus that came up with this hodgepodge of ridiculousness or the Catholic Church, it is all idolatry.

OK. I’ll admit it. The title of this video caught my eye. “What is the history of the Messianic Movement?” I was interested to see whether the video would cover the fact that the Messianic movement began at the gates of Eden and whether it would be acknowledged that there are multiple movements each claiming to be THE Messianic movement.
How people understand this subject depends, to a great degree, on whether they read the Bible forward or backward (whether they interpret the later parts - written in Greek - by the earlier parts written in Hebrew or whether they interpret the earlier parts by the later parts). People who try to do the latter usually wind up interpreting the earlier parts of the Bible by ostensibly Christian traditions including ostensibly Christian interpretations of the Gospels, the Epistles and the Apocalypse.
What do I mean by “ostensibly Christian”?
The first step in apostasy was to think of - and then teach as if - the church was an organization and that “authority” was vested in and distributed by the hierarchy of the organization. It is easy to fault these “leaders” for ignoring the Hebrew believers but I think it helps to understand some context. Before 70 A.D, many of the citizens of the Roman Empire hated the Hebrew people. After 70 A.D, the citizens of the empire - perhaps especially the government officials in Rome - hated the Hebrews even more, not only because of the Great Revolt that culminated in the destruction of Jerusalem but because the Roman generals had begged the Hebrews to come out of the temple precincts to fight in any other place so as to spare the temple. The obstinacy of the Hebrews resulted not only in the destruction of the temple but the needless slaughter of hundreds of Roman soldiers and thousands of Hebrews. (The total loss of life on the Hebrew side may have been more than a million.)
Monte Judah mentioned the failure of the ostensibly Christian hierarchy to consult Hebrew believers in the Messiah. Perhaps this is not surprising if we consider that the reason for it was that the hierarchy wanted the officers of the Roman Empire to think of Christianity as an altogether new religion and very different from the beliefs and practices of the Hebrew patriarchs and prophets of antiquity. That eventually became official “Christian” doctrine - at least in Rome.
I am indebted to my parents for teaching my siblings and me much more about history than was being taught in public schools (U.S.) when we were children but even our parents failed to adequately instruct us about the division of the kingdom of Israel after the reign of Solomon and how that division affected later usage of the words “Israelite” and “Jew”.
Not long ago, I read something by someone who was pretending to be a teacher. The statement was that Genesis was written by a Jew.
Not one in ten of professed Christians in the United States know enough about history to even notice that mistake. If someone reading this is knowledgeable enough to explain the mistake, I’m willing to go into more detail about how the use of words has influenced various schools of thought about the relationship between Hebrews and believers in the Messiah.

Jewish believers met in synagogues with Jews and then on Sundays with Christians. This resulted into Torah observance by the Ebionite sect vs the Nazarene sect that was doctrinally sound. Origin and company took advantage of the heresies in the Ebionite sect to lump all into one group and then based on the observance of the resurrection by Hebrew Christianity on Passover instead of Easter, the church fathers excommunicated them.

Messianic Judaism is more a modern movement patterning Evangelical Christianity. The only authentic Jewish movement directly related to Yeshua was called Netzarim. They were led by James as first Paqid or leader and officially ended with the 15th and last Paqid in 135 ce and disappeared from history in 333 ce. Only splinter groups and Romanized Christianity continued afterwards none of which were legitimate followers of the historical Rabbi Yehoshua or Jesus. Acts chapter 5 stated if the Netzarim came to nothing then Yeshua was not the Messiah and that's exactly what occurred in history.
