The whole album is wonderful. I just discovered this guy as well and it's so good. Fantastic melodies throughout, catchy tunes. I can't praise it enough
This song is wonderfully existential, real people doing real things like eating buttered toast on the way out the door or engaging in friendly banter. It's an antidote to the world weariness I've felt acutely these last few years.
I called up Charlie about a quarter past nine and said, "What's going on tonight?" He said, "No plans, but I wouldn't mind holding a lighter head tonight" I said, "Come to the Skyline, I'll be washing my sins away" Oh, he just laughed, said "I'll be late, you know how I can be" I looked in my fridge, it was a dark scene so I buttered some bread Chewed my way out the door and walked down the street To the neon skyline, I grabbed myself a stool at the bar Oh somehow Rose always knows just exactly what I need She didn't ask, she just opened a cold can and set it down in front of me I said thanks and thought about how Judy used to come here with me But I got so tired of her calling this our disease, 'cause I'm just fine Sometimes I need to clear my mind, you know how that can be Charlie walked in about a quarter past ten and I said, "Greetings, old man" He hung his coat on the wall and took the stool next to mine He asked Rose for one glass of Merlot and she laughed Oh I'm just fine, I'm wasting time, sometimes there's no better feeling than that Source: LyricFind
I heard this song on Ici Musique the other day and couldn't get out of the car even though I was late for a meeting. The bass line is SO DOPE! Massive respect from your home province!
I like the song, but it is maybe too nice to become one of my favorites. Well arranged, a summer song, maybe. I like the darker or melancholic songs more. Well, even The Beatles made ob-la-di-ob-la-da.Living Room is for me one of the best songs ever....I ordered the album of course and look forward to the concert in Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie.
Come on! Andy is more handsome. But what did he do with his eyebrows? I thought they were more ;-)But anyway: We should talk about his beautiful music not about how Andy Looks like, okay?
@@chuckcabrera1032 I did (more than once). Way too upbeat (soundwise) in comparison to The Bearer and The Party. I hope Andy's happy in life and stuff but, when it comes to his music (again, soundwise), I like it miserable.
I think there's a time and place for that as well. If anything, he's evolving as a musician which is interrsting to be a part of. I enjoy his more melancholic tunes too, but it's a breath of fresh air!
Andy Shauf turning toward the camera while chewing buttered bread is now my phone background, thank you
Wtf is wrong with you...
Amazing
I can’t stop listening to his albums. Such rich storytelling. I’m humbled.
This Song gives me strong Paul Simon vibes! Love it!!
I thought so too! And a little bit of Sheryl Crow.
Yep, yep, to both! Was having similar musings, myself.
Cant wait to watch this everyday for forever
This song is just unbelievably catchy and good. So glad I discovered this during this harsh time in the world.

It's a great record
This guy's a genius.

I know where I’ll be getting my pre drinks before the Danforth show in Toronto.
This is just the best thing. Also couldn't stop laughing at all the deadpan turns to the camera. What a delight!
So damn good!!! Andy is the absolute best!
hi x
@@lucaslock hey lucas xxxx
How amazing is this?! A video with Andy in his own studio! Love it! ❤️
I'm glad that places like The Skyline Restaurant continue to exist. It was always a great place to enjoy a classic 'hangover breakfast'.
Guy is so amazing. His music makes me either profoundly happy, or profoundly melancholy.
I love garage punk and I love this song and clip as well
Evocatively brilliant. Andy smashes another album out the park.
Damn I’m loving this guys music!
This is the second marvellous surprise I got for today. 💙💙💙💕

The end is Beautiful, I Love his Smile
Love from Kentucky and Nashville Andy!!
I heard this song on Ici Musique the other day and couldn't get out of the car even though I was late for a meeting. The bass line is SO DOPE! Massive respect from your home province!
Bass and other instrumentation are brilliant!
Damn, I like this bass line so much.
That smile Andy!
Love this song so much!👌🏻
2 more days!! 😁
It's already leaked if you want it bad enough. I ordered the vinyl.
i loved it, thank you Andy
Amazing song. Not sure if I've heard this before or a cover, but the tempo and scantion are both amazing.
It's gonna be a great album
Great music as always
Bought the vinyl and CD on release - immediately loved two tracks on first listen - Living Room - Dust Kids - but all of it is ace...
Seeing live on the 14th in Austin never been so excited to see anyone before can’t stop listening to his music on repeat as preparation
SAME See you there :)
Siento casi lo mismo, es que su música es tan relajante.😌
You have issues…
Happy Andy Shauf just dropped new music day! Sept 2021
Oh this video just makes me smile :)
god damn this makes me happy
Andy's music brings true joy which I thought did not exist anymore.
Rose Knows 🌹 ✨
The turn to the camera is perfect
Criminally underrated! Neon Skyline 4 Grammy
😂no thanks
Beautiful!!
The lighter head part is what I always think when I listen to this song.
I love Andy, he reminds me Rodriguez
"Uh Michelle. Have you heard this banger yet?"
i love that obama is jamming to this
This song is on Obama's 2020 playlist! Congrats Andy. LOVE your music!
Beautiful
Two days posted (as of 1/24/20), 10.1K+ views - well-deserved!!
Idk why this was recommended to me but this is fucking great
Sometimes I need to clear my mind; you know how that can be...
Beautiful 👌
Bella canción!!!
Thank you for the tune I enjoyed it very much.
I love him so much. It's like Paul Simon and the shins had a kid and the beach Boys were the godparents.
“I got so tired of her calling this our disease” .. Amen Brother.
My boy 😍
I hear Sir George
Wow 😍😍😍
When did he cut his hair? Anyway great song!
Paul Simon/Joni Mitchell vibe and it works?
Huge Mungus Bob Dylan
FACTS.
so much better than Paul Simon
@@bestfullyy wtf.. Andy is nowhere near Paul Simon as a songwriter. Very few people are or have been. Better than Paul Simon my ass
He’s a Crosby stills n Nash vibes...listen to ‘our house’
Heard it on Q. Really fresh and sharp. Like the best stuff of the 60s and 70s. Love the drummer.
In case you haven't found out by now, all instruments and production are handled by the man himself. Very talented dude!
The Paul Simon of it all...
Bella bella bella bella
is this video film in 8mm? love the song and the video.
SOOO Paul Simon I love it!
Party foul
Anyone know what film stock this was filmed with?
Kodak Tri-X
nobody will ever eat a piece of toast like that again
anyone know what brand the hat he's wearing is?
there’s a little something that reminds me of paul simon!!
Strong Paul Simon vibes on the new stuff. I like it.
Nah fam
Oh, short hair!
Y que paso con la Legendaria " Jesus never fails"?
Hella great feel!!
S●LID work!!!!
Subbed ya!
When you're really good it doesn't matter if your trying hard to be Paul Simon. He's good enough that I don't even care.

Marcus Metternich then you gotta love Helplessly Hoping?
Yeah I prefer his older stuff. Like REAL old stuff like lost and slowly. Much darker vibe. Wendell walker was the last dark song it seems like
Yes andy, i love u, but you must try hitting triple 20, 20s at least play some shanghai or 301 or try practising double outs
okay but like who else loves this song ? 😫
The closeups remind me of snapchat... and i like it
Andy looks like Spencer Rice's more talented younger brother.
Hahaha so not David Schwimmer with downs syndrome?
Thanks, this is so oddly correct haha.
Come on! Andy is more handsome. But what did he do with his eyebrows? I thought they were more ;-)But anyway: We should talk about his beautiful music not about how Andy Looks like, okay?
Remind me of old timey good musicians from the caliber of harrison, young, croce... maybe even a bit of elliott smith.
UnluckyCharm Bob Dylan dude
Where does his accent come from?
1:32
Hallo
Haha :)
Why the hair cut?
he donated his hair to cancer patients I think
He needed one
I also come from Obama's Summer Playlist
Awesome
go away obama
Shauf can do no wrong.
I mean yeah he probably does wrong shit all the time but I have not heard a bad song by him.
Add racc to this song and youll find some god tier shit cause this garb
AOTY so far for me.
Welcome to Barack Obama's 2020 Playlist.
Influenced by Paul Simon
Somehow his lyrics rhyme, but they don't, and it's perfect somehow..
His voice reminds me of Kermit the Frog
Kermit X Paul Simon
i came here cause i was wondering if anyone else thought that😂😂
at least a half of reproductions are mine
1 hit wonder I guess. First song not bad but this is the same fucking thing as the party
Dis on Obama's playlist👀
what kind of accent does andy have? Russian jew?
Patrice Oneal he sounds like hearing impaired person but it only seems to come out when he sings . It’s kinda odd really.
Thick Canadian accent. Somewhat like Alanis Morissette style.
Bob Dylan vibes? Nashville Skyline Rag
Paul Simon? Is that you
Mac Tweedy, thank me later
Gavin Mccines brought me here.
Too much cheerful. Go back to melancholy.
Listen the album.
