The story behind this video is really special. Aled Jones is a Welsh singer and broadcaster for Classic FM. He was the UK's premier treble singer as a teenager in the 1980's and has gone on to a successful career as an adult vocalist and as a television and radio presenter. Malakai Bayoh is an English treble who recently made his stage debut at the Royal Opera House. Unfortunately, although his performance was stellar, he was booed and heckled by an audience member who was later banned from the opera house. Classic FM ran the story, and soon after the incident, Aled Jones recorded two performances with Malakai to showcase his incredible talent. Since that time, Malakai has made his Royal Albert Hall debut with Classic FM Live, and has won the Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell on Britain's Got Talent. He's even been described as the next Aled Jones, which, if you look up some of Jones' performances from his teen years, you'll understand the comparison. It was really heartwarming to see Jones supporting Malakai after the incident at the Royal Opera House. An experience like that could shake a young singer's confidence permanently, but the British classical community rallied behind Malakai and built him up when he needed it most. As you can see, he is an incredible talent worthy of all of the encouragement and support he has received.
I can't even fathom how someone could boo this kid. Not only is he an extraordinary talent, but there are VERY few performers who actually move you when you listen to them. This goes beyond great singing, it causes something inside you to feel good and take you to another level. At least, for me it does. And Mr. Jones still has a lovely voice. This was a wonderful collaboration.
Aled Jones became famous as a boy chorister for singing’We’re walking in the air’ from ‘The Snowman’ which is now a classic Christmas film in the UK and around the world.
Aled Jones was born in 1970 and aged 9 joined Bangor Cathedral Choir in North Wales, UK 🇬🇧 and within two years was lead soloist. In 1985 he reached the top 5 of the UK Charts with a cover of Walking In The Air from an animated film called The Snowman. He and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra were behind the soundtrack to Santa Claus: The Movie. He still sings and records and is also a tv presenter and radio presenter on Classic FM in the UK, he also does some occasional acting 😊
Awesome some people can be so cruel but what God has for you know one can take if it meant for you now how grateful that was kiddo to Mr. Jones for being him great
Aled (born 1970) was something of a child prodigy himself joining the Bangor Cathedral Choir, North Wales, 🇬🇧 where he became lead soloist within two years. In 1985 he reached the top 5 in the UK charts with a cover version of a song called Walking In The Air from a Channel 4 animated film called The Snowman, Aled recorded the soundtrack to the movie Santa Claus: The Movie with the National Philharmonic Orchestra. He has been a recording artist, tv and radio presenter and actor ever since. What I absolutely love about this is how he just sits back and allows Malakai to shine so brightly. Beautiful performance from both. Since this Malakai has entered 2023’s Britain’s Got Talent and I think is set to appear in the live finals after impressing so much in the auditions, I think it’s back on our screens at the end of May 😊
Aled Jones was a schoolboy chorister in the 80's and released a single of The Snowman's theme tune We're walking in the air. Many people wrongly believe that A led song the theme song to the film but he released a cover of it around the time of the film's release. Aled's daughter Emilia is a young actress who started in the Oscar winning film last year Coda which had deaf and signing actors. Emilia played the hearing child of the deaf main leads. Malachi may have a voice like Aled as an adult as Aled was singing as a Chorister up until about 14/15.
Nobody understands this little boy more than Aled Jones. He is been there already. By the way you should react to Aled Jones singing with his younger self. He recently released new album one voice and he sings all songs with his younger self. Walking in the air and panis angelicus are probably the best.
Here is Malakai singing the song that shot Aled to national fame in the UK as a then 14/15 year old. Aled reaches the top 5 in the British charts with this song Walking In The Air from an animated film called The Snowman ⛄️😊 ruclips.net/video/Lq8kqsI3hCo/видео.html
