Snide, I found what you said about the ground measurements and that it is related to the number of floors of the buildings very interesting.
Also your tour in the village and your family house was very nice.

Good job mate. This understanding and perspective of different cultures is vitally missing in most Western cultures. Thanks for upholding culture 💫

Good stuff Snide. My parents’ generation often shared their difficult experiences growing up in rural Guangdong. Seems a lot has changed!

The most famous cultural export of Foshan must surely be the legendary Wong Fei Hung.

Villages in Guangdong are quite messy.

Your legs must ache living on the top floor? Or maybe as fit as a fiddle if you live there all your life. Can see that these villagers are quite well off - collecting rent, yearly villager bonuses, zero mortgage, management fees, taxes, waiting for the big pay day (now pushed back by a few more years due to property slowdown - developers are cash strapped).
These villagers don't seem to be complaining - maybe its due to a relatively clean and safe environment, ease of commuting (with those e-bikes that cost next to nothing to run) and great transport connectivity nearby, no inflation, no crime, no drugs, no gambling addicts, no homeless, no gangs, no woke influence and time wasters, free schools, inexpensive and efficient hospitals. They consume mostly fresh market produce rather than frozen, processed or expired (without you knowing) food from supermarkets - so have fewer hospital visits and living longer. Is anyone complaining?
