Traitor? I don't think so, he is showing the world what a real human being born in England and what a human should do, by learning to be humble, and explore the world, prove the narrative is wrong. This way people of the world will not see his home country as the beast, but only as a country that is so unlucky being controlled by the corrupt government.

If you compare like for like, in other words UK or US city to Chinese city, then there is a world of difference, in terms of crime, homelessness, infrastructure, etc.
China is far more harmonious and doesn't push division like how the US does. Divide and conquer and distracting the populace is how the ruling class of the west maintain control. China just walks the walk, not talk the talk.

I have been living in Australia for 20 years and I am in the same position as you. I feel so privileged to have the choice to choose where to live. I love my country China and consider Australia as my second home. China is nowhere near perfect but I am so proud that China has become what she is today. With the western world becoming so unsettled, I have discussed with my husband recently that we will take our son back to China if Australia becomes like those places in the west. I am so happy that I live in a beautiful country and have beautiful neighbors and friends, and also I have a great country to go back to. I am grateful for that.

I don't blame you wanting to improve your quality of life especially when both major political parties have essentially the same WEF policies. China would be an excellent choice. Their government actually works to improve the life of it's citizens.

Slowly this country becoming the poodle of USA and I cannot see how they can get out of this loop. So sad, like ou I like cycling.

Mearsheimer 11 yrs ago endorsed leaders lying for the sake of national interest (means war not peace). While leaders had to lie in a critical circumstance, scholars endorsing it is another matter. You're encouraging lie culture and ruling strategy. In business lie backfires in the long run. Chinese saying u can conquer a country on horseback, but can't rule a country on horseback. Of course you whites won't listen, your political philosophy only had Machievelli, political virtue is non-existent. Zero supervision, unlimited power to presidents, liars rule for 4 yrs minimum.

The new British Finance Minister Reeves announced the results of the fiscal review to Parliament on July 29. He criticized the previous Conservative government's unfunded financial commitments during its 14 years in power, resulting in a loss of 20 billion pounds (approximately 186 billion yuan). yuan) deficit. Prime Minister Keir Starmer's office said: "The review shows the UK is bankrupt and in pieces."At the same time, in recent years, Europe has been mired in a crisis of geopolitical conflicts. The resulting high energy prices have brought about high inflation. Under the power of the United States' violent interest rate hikes, it has been continuously harvested by American financial capital, and its national strength has long been weakened. In fact, it is not just the United Kingdom, but Germany may be even more serious. GDP has been growing in negative territory for the past two years. The "locomotive" of the European economy has stalled. You can only imagine what the state of the entire European economy is.

I am a health care provider in Canada. One patient was furious that her grand daughter:" 8 years old" was taught in school about homosexual relationships and also the choice to have multiple partners if they later choose to. Books with graphic pictures and horrific description of sex scenes. They were also taught how to take drugs "safely". Drug are not only legalized, but readily available through home delivery and even through vending machines outside hospitals teaching us how to use it properly. ( You can find them on You Tube.), police are not going after criminals and citizens cannot even defend ourselves and we must NOT hurt the law offenders as they will have the right to sue us back. IT is legal for us !! Let the shops be robbed, let our cars be robbed or stolen, just give the robbers the keys and claim the insurance later as a safer approach as we have been told... Most of us with a normal brain are going nuts!! What is becoming of this world? THE LOGIC AND THE LAW is totally flipped sided!!!! People are being brainwashed to accept these as the "New Normal".

People in UK, Europe and US need to understand why so many immigrants flooding into their countries. One of the reasons was because their countries were destroyed, especially those that are considered natural resources-rich countries. I believe most weren’t interested to migrate to another nation if their homelands weren’t destroyed beyond livable conditions. If you want to blame those migrants in your countries for taking your jobs away and blah, blah, blah…, you should blame those that elected bunch of warmongers that were behind the sanctions, bombings or trickling regime change movements of those migrants’ countries.

There are so many parallels in what you talked about and where I currently live with the rest of my family. My family immigrated here back in the 1980s in order to give the future generations a better life since things were looking sour back in their home country and now 40 or so years later I found that stared to become the complete opposite and it's really quite sad to see. I do love living here, my friendships and memories I've made I truly cherish them. However with every day that passes many of issues you discussed also happen here and I find it extremely difficult to want to stay living here and I just cannot picture myself living out of the rest of days here. Personally speaking it's gotten exceptionally bad in the past 10 or so years with the violence, drugs, etc. I've actually visited the family's home country as well as a few other counties in Asia and you're correct it's not perfect or some sort of utopia but after seeing it myself albeit a tourist point of view; the grass really is greener on the other side.

It was exactly 18:40 where I was thinking “yes but the average Londoner would argue that that’s just life, accept it, grow a pair” and immediately after I read your subtitle “but I find it shocking what is just the norm here now”. This is the most important point and a main contribution to the downwards spiral. China does have a drinking culture. They just somehow don't have the problems from excessive drinking.
Even with the lax age control on alcohol sale. Used to be, pretty much any kid can just buy a bottle of the white baijiu hard liquor in his neigborhood shop and just say it's for dad or uncle at home. It's that easy for a Chinese kid to get his hands on some hard liquor. And yet, there is no drinking problem among Chinese students or college students.

    • @snide64
      @snide64  2 месяца назад +3

It’s a distinctly different drinking culture. In China, it’s about splashing your cash and ordering big bottles of whiskey and getting as hammered as possible as quick as possible - which is very quick due to the vast majority of the population being allergic to alcohol. In the UK, it’s pints after work, hard binging on the weekend on a Friday and Saturday night. As a sweeping statement - people in China focus on their work and family, rather than mates down the pub.

Confucius was a teacher, and this special feeling for teachers has been passed down for thousands of years. In ancient times, the prince's teachers were treated very specially, and the emperor's son did not dare to shout at his teacher, which was one of the many criteria by which the emperor evaluated his son's morality.

These riots shocked me. Those Right Wing Left Wing were never so brazen back in the 90s. There was tolerance & understanding. Ppl know of Commonwealth & accepted us as friends. But the new migrants weren't from Commonwealth.
Personally, UK 2nd biggest mistake was joining EEC/EU & forego the Commonwealth. EU strangled UK, call it German+French revenge.
Biggest mistake was join at hips with USA. They treated UK as a lapdog & what benefit did UK receive in return? Absolutely nothing. Only got death & destruction from joining US endless wars.

As a Chinese, I would say life is simpler here because you do not need to maintain interpersonal relationships just like in China, however, you can definitely feel the inflation. I can understand why people are disgruntled due to life quality is declining. Most people I met wherever they come from are kind and helpful. It is a general downturn of economics globally. I just hope we can hold a positive attitude toward the society. Lastly, I am grateful for the generosity of the British people they should be blessed. Because of this, we can enjoy the multi-faceted culture here in the UK. Do something contributive without complaints, and never take it for granted.

I agree with your views about China, as my wife is also Chinese and we spent a year there last year.
Regarding the Right Wing, I attended the rally in London, after a 4 hour journey, on 27th July and in a crowd of around 70,000, there were no fights, riots or anything thrown at the police. As there were only normal police there and people stopping to shake hands and talk to them, it was a great atmosphere, attended by all races and backgrounds. Only a few arrests made later, after the event, outside a pub.
After the disgusting stabbings in Southport, things came to a head, not caused by a radical Islamist, which people didn't know at the time, but things have been simmering for a long time. In past 20 years, 94 people have been bombed, stabbed etc by radical Islamists and 1 Muslim killed by a Right wing nutter. At the recent demo on Wednesday, with around 3000 people in Downing Street, which started peacefully, until hundreds of police in riot gear turned up and began kettling small groups and when pushing people back, it then looked like an orchestrated scuffle, for 110 people to be arrested, just for standing still, maybe for material for Starmer's speech next day?

I’m not a big fan of the UK either but I wouldn’t choose China myself. I lived in there for 2 years (although that was 10 years ago so might be better now). It’s very overpopulate. The air quality was terrible in the cities which is particularly bad for young developing kids. Amenities are good yes. In general I wouldn’t say it is particularly clean there. It’s not like Japan. A lot of spitting, litter, some fighting/drinking still, open prostitution. The lack of freedom to use this here platform for example or to speak your opinions is alarming. The youth their are being increasingly nationalised… particularly towards Japan, but also America and the west. Signs are that the economy is due for a downturn. I hear Indonesia is on the way up and also Vietnam. Maybe even Thailand or Cambodia. I chose Eastern Europe for a quieter life, lower cost of living, and it’s less overpopulated.

However, San Francisco did not make much progress almost same for past 20 years meantime the society is collapsing due to Drug, homeless and Crime rate.
