I really like this anime, cuz the mc isn't unreasonably overpowered and he's not weak with justice either. Like, I don't really like animes where the mc is just successful throughout the whole story. Or like, when the main character is just saying stuff where no one deserves to die, and is a complete saintess... OH AND TO ADD MORE IT'S A BL LIKE YESS
I recommend you the novel , if you like the spicy scenes, and to understand even some of the minor details that they left out on the animation. Also "the bath tub scene" , "Everyday means everyday", "Phoenix mountain hunt" , "incense burner". *Lenny face* . Also i recommend you to get some tissues during the chapters named "grasses", trust me you'll need it unless you have the heart of a stone
anime is a pale shadow of a novel, to be honest. the plot is compressed, changed for the worse. I advise you to familiarize yourself with the original too, because it is really beautiful
So did Wei Wuxian's soul go off like a bomb when he met his tragic end destroying the Tiger Seal? Very visually stunning. They need to continue the anime and be faithful to the material in terms of relationship with Lan Wanji.
In the original Novel he got a backlash(but we are not sure if it was Before or after destroing the seal) and his army of zombie devored him leaving nothing behind. Pretty gore-y ha? And YES they absolutly need to make another season, I am dying to See the yi city arc animated 😳🤩

I really love this story. I've watched the anime, the live action, the side movies untamed: living dead & untamed: fatal journey which if you watch those you'll understand more of the live action show. It's the missing pieces to the story, i have the mangas, the novels, and just preorder the novel in English. They are all on Amazon. Next on my list is the audiobook. I also watched and love Word of Honor. It is similar to this story line and their story is just as heart string pulling as wei ying and lan zanx story.
