Wish it could me more of a dash like luke's or mauls, like he does the same movement but really fast in front of him, it should block fire but without knocking down
Grievous has always been my favorite, even though everything was broken at the beginning. I loved him from the movies so much, I spent hours playing HvV for some of the first times, just to learn him. Now, I can kill almost everyone. There were quite a few times when I was low on health, and going up against multiple enemies, and I still managed to pull through. Grievous FOREVAH!!!
It makes sense ngl grievous is the ultimate killing machine who can in canons kill like 10 Jedi while the Jedi are all attacking him at once grievous is one of the most OP characters in canons it makes sense why he has buffs and what happened to you.
My first game of Geonosis (This was a week ago when they only did Geonosis for Galactic Assult.) I survived until the beginning of the 3rd phase. I think I may be lucky.
One thing i dont get is when you're playing HvV lightside as a jedi and you see claw rush coming and jump well and high above and out of range of it you still get hit and knocked back
Here's my tip: TURN OFF THE FREAKING LIGHTSABERS (when you're not actively in combat) you're just asking to be pelted from across the map walking with those things on like that.
I use unrelenting advance in HvV on those people that wont stop swinging at you. They will just keep swinging and running into you until they die lol. I was also laughing so hard when a Rey that never even used abilities or blocked kept swinging at me then just died.
At this point, in 2019, I’ve found that Unrelenting Advance(UA) can be EXTREMELY useful in HvV. It isn’t in every situation but if you’ve been 1v3’ing and they’re at about half health, pop UA and it can kill them if they’re lightsaber heroes that are spamming you with attacks. At least in my experience. Done it like 8 times in the past month. UA can be extremely useful if you can get close enough to the heroes.
I remember my first time playing Grievous on my friend's game. The two of us were basically dicking around in arcade mode, sometimes just coming up with random ideas for goofing off (using only blaster heros, or finding a map with cliffs and making the rule that you could only kill the other with force push/throws off the cliffs). This was all pre-patch Grievous by the way. My friend had little experience fighting him, so I don't think he even knew what all his abilities did yet. Scared the ever living shit out of him to see the Grievous-spider skittering towards him ("I'm COMING for you!") for the first time, and my first time using Unrelenting Advance he basically said "Fuck that!" and proceeded to nope out of there since he was playing Leia (his main) at the time and he realized that somehow the ability was managing to block his shots. He then proceeded to freak out when I canceled the ability and immediately hit him with Thrust Surge and melted his health to zero in seconds. It was freaking awesome. Of course, he got his revenge by picking Luke or Rey and proceeding to repeatedly screw me over with either force pushes or mind tricks. But it was damn good fun. Can't wait for the next time I hang out with him and try out the newly patched Grievous! Maybe he'll have unlocked Obi-Wan by then and we can meme our way through the duels.
I've started to do really well with Grievous recently and it's so much god damn fun. Love using him in co-op. Recently I've been using beating heart and then both the claw rush cards and it's been awesome taking out groups of clones in tight corridors of capital ships and shit like that. I basically play him like the hit and run type he is, not the tank that people try to make him sometimes
Great video! I’ve learned that unrelenting advance can be used in hvv in 1v4. If you act dumb and corner yourself, you can use unrelenting advance and typically you can wipe out AT LEAST 1 dumb hero that’s saber spamming. I’ve taken out all 4 using this tactic then using claw rush after unrelenting advance ended. Although, if the other team is smart.... accept defeat. Let the sand win
For anyone interested I did some Battlefront 2 game play on my channel today and played with Grievous for the first time, suffice to say I really needed this guide lol THANKS QUINN !!
That's something I'd like to see if he has the time, a video that goes into detail about how to win as a lightsaber vs another lightsaber, light saber vs a blaster, blaster vs a lightsaber and blaster vs a blaster. I'm completely trash at winning 1v1s and that's a video I think a lot of people may benefit from watching
Grievous’ training with Dooku is basically how you have to play him. “You must have fear, surprise, and intimidation on your side. For if any one element is lacking, it would be best for you to retreat.”
I think one of the best things about Unrelenting Advance is - so long as they aren’t dumb enough to keep getting hit, and you aren’t surrounded - it will usually make other people playing as heroes back off instinctively. If you need to run away, using it long enough to make them back off for a second before making a break for it will usually work.
It would be cool of there were skins for Greivous with a cape and with all four of his arms out (or maybe a card that lessens his damage but increases attack speed with the added bonus of him having all four arms out) or maybe even a fourth ability where he takes all four arms out and can use all four lightsabers for an extended but limited time or just something like that, maybe even an ability where he takes out a blaster pistol
Using unrelenting advance can be good for blocking incoming blaster fire but it can be the end of you if your back area isn’t covered. Using it in HvV is good as long as you have the enemy pinned, they can easily jump over you or go around you. Use it in the tight corridors of bespin and jabbas palace.
You're the best Quinn!! Can you please just re-do all the heroes cuz you're so awesome at it? Totally serious. Also, keep up all the excellent work! Love the channel!
If you want master grievous play some HvV and learn the back roads or areas not taken by everyone of the galactic assault maps is the best advice I can give you. Good Luck!
I like using the thrust surge abilities in HvV (along with Sith trained) the extra range helps to closes a gap and the damage means you kill the hero even faster (especially since they are knocked on the ground)
This series got me into your channel a couple months ago when the game was on sale and have been playing it a lot. If you did guides on the classes that would be great because I only used to play HVV but starting to dabble in Strike and Galactic Assault
I know this is old, but a really good tip if anybody comes through. Don't play Grievous defencivly! Jump in, then absolutely decimate everybody, then jump out with Claw Rush. Also you can take on huge groups head on, just make sure you are able to gtfo in a pinch. I'm a Lvl 382 Grievous btw.
The only time that I use Unrelenting Advance is in Heroes vs Villains to advance forward whilst protecting my teammates behind me so they don’t get shredded by Blaster Fire, when the ability is over I use thrust surge to get in closer while my friends blast them from a distance.

I just got into this game and I can’t believe its not getting support from EA or at least giving the devs more resources. I came from For Honor which is why I don’t mind the spam lightsaber battles with heroes. I actually was heavily into the first battlefront.
Isn’t the thing with unrelenting advance that if you are pinned down in a corner you pop it and anyone who doesn’t have explosive doesn’t have an opportunity to kill you under the time it’s avtive, so basically it’s a way of defending yourself against blasten bolts and lightsaber while you heal up.
Unrelenting Advance is very situational you are oh so correct. But man is it satisfying when you use it effectively. I killed A Rey, Luke, Yoda, and Obi-Wan in HvV because I was backed into a corner and they just kept swinging while I had the ability on
Also really fun to use against your buddy when he has no idea what Grievous could do yet on account of him being a Leia main and thus picking strictly light side all the time. First time he saw me coming at him with Unrelenting Advance, his first thought was immediately run as fast as he could while freaking out.
@@DragonMastr Granted, he got his revenge. He started using Luke and Rey to repeatedly hit me with force push or mind trick to throw me off, then either attack while I was down or run like hell. I know it's still not amazing, but I love activating Unrelenting Advance now when I get backed into a corner by enemies in HvV. I use the damage reduction star card for that ability, and watching Jedi flail and take tons of damage while they barely scratch me is hilarious.
You can add some little picture of card you choose for a hero to the video when talking about it, some people have better "eyes memories", but overall really nice video :)
YA literally every time i've ever picked up grievous I die in the middle of an animation, be it the second lightsaber swing, the claw rush standing up animation, the spread eagle before the lunge, or the fire from the rear during the meat grinder thing. I love his concept just I can't get used to his playstyle. I think the highest killstreak i've gone on him is 6 before dying to blasterfire while stuck in an animation.
I think unrelenting advance wasn't included people would've complained. Its a memorable moment in Ep 3. May be useless but its a cool defense move like you say.
I wish he had was given an ability to be able to fight with just his four or two arms. Each offering a different fighting style. (For example, w/ 2 arms he’s quick, attacks are okay, block is meh. But with 4 he’s slow, attack’s are overwhelming to the enemy, and his block would be amazing) idk, it just would’ve been a nice change up to what we’ve seen before with Grievous in past games.
Do you think you’ll start streaming again? Or maybe even just posting some videos of great games you’ve had? Because I remember watching your streams and you’re just an absolute beast dude
I'd like to point out that there's a collision glitch with greivous' thrust surge. If your target rounds a corner there's a possibility that if you collide with a wall you can one shot yourself. It happened to me once and I didn't die but instantly lost 90 percent of my health
Unrelenting advance is broken in a good way for grievous, it does dmg even when he is not using it. Died so many times in hvv just cos unrelenting advance is ticking my hp as well as him hitting me with basic attacks. You should look into that
In one on one lightsaber combat, Grievous is the best Hero in the game. But, that doesn’t factor in force abilities, which is his biggest weakness. I normally don’t have problems with his stamina.
Note this if you are Grevious do not battle blaster heros by time you kill them if you even kill them at all you will be at low health let your teammates get their attention so you can get close and assist or finish them and to use unrelenting advance blaster heros can do what they also do roll pass you and shoot you in the back and Grevious taking blaster fire is his kryptonite
There's a glitch where you activate Unrelenting advance as soon as it ends it activates again, doubling your time from 5 seconds to 10. So if a foolish Obi-wan's cling to you like a dianoga and they're at full health you can shred them to pieces.
I wish they took away thrust surge and made his other ability the option to separate all four arms. Having a completely faster fighting style with 4 arms.
I personally think you’re playing him wrong; you’re not making him cough or make crackhead noises every 5 to 7 seconds.
How does this not have enough likes
For me it’s just spamming emotes whenever possible, especially the “Crush them, make them suffer!”
Grevious is just like * coughs 40 times in a row*

YA literally every time i've ever picked up grievous I die in the middle of an animation, be it the second lightsaber swing, the claw rush standing up animation, the spread eagle before the lunge, or the fire from the rear during the meat grinder thing. I love his concept just I can't get used to his playstyle. I think the highest killstreak i've gone on him is 6 before dying to blasterfire while stuck in an animation.
Considering the maps are heavily built around grindy hallways, his advance ability is really not that bad. Helps your team push effectively.
Great video I’ve been looking forward for this!!
I think unrelenting advance wasn't included people would've complained. Its a memorable moment in Ep 3. May be useless but its a cool defense move like you say.
Jesus this is just a solid good video Well done
I’d love more vids! How to not suck is an awesome series!
Jackson Haymond I would put a star card that increased his attack speed but decreased damage called “Four Times the Fun!”
unrelenting advance is good if you corner someone and itstun them a bit so they cant escape it when cornered
Do you think you’ll start streaming again? Or maybe even just posting some videos of great games you’ve had? Because I remember watching your streams and you’re just an absolute beast dude
Was considering subbing, but then I heard that outro.
Instant sub :)
I'd like to point out that there's a collision glitch with greivous' thrust surge. If your target rounds a corner there's a possibility that if you collide with a wall you can one shot yourself. It happened to me once and I didn't die but instantly lost 90 percent of my health
Unrelenting advance is the coolest move in the game, you can’t change my mind
I would put my vote on droideka roll, but this one is cool too.
Dude... Really helpful tips. Thanks man
might want to update this since health on kill passive has came to pass
Daily uploads... I like the sound of that
With the right star card set up unrelenting advance can one shot all classes but heavy
To all those people that disliked this video... why? Love the video and keep up the great work
This is getting out of hand.. Now there are two of them!
I wouldn’t mind a Vader and a Luke recap as well! I seem to be having trouble with the saber users!
Please give Kylo Ren tips for GA
Hey could you do a video on how use block correctly against lightsaber enemies
Grievous is very good!
This makes me want to play some Grievous. I’ve been non stop killin O’Driscoll’s on Red Dead
Grievous is now my favorit thing in the game
