Hey man great video i followed all the steps bro even that restart but i guess i need to contact epic games cuss its only fornite am able to hear and everything is good but for some reason this tellow chat issue is always on the side of the screen and its annoying even tho thiers no chat issues i can hear and talk just fine by the way are u really giving free skins man?!?! I can’t stand having to chase this problem much longer so I’m hoping someone can help. I know that this and that has to be set to on or off and everybody and all that. The issue is I’m trying to play with my nephew. When we join a party together it says he won’t be able to hear me because he’s in “console only voice channel” we’ve tried everything to get this to work. Is it a parental control setting? Did he likely put in too young of an age when he signed up and that’s stopping him from cross play? He’s on Xbox I’m on pc. I appreciate any help but I’ll mention again that I’m aware of the standard fixes and none of them have worked.
i think you have to go into your actual xbox settings, go to the “general” tab then tap “online safety & family” then tap “privacy & online safety” then tap “xbox privacy” then tap “view details & customize” then tap “communication & multiplayer” then go over to where it says “You can communicate outside Xbox with voice & text” then put it to everybody. mine for some reason was set to “in-game friends”

For everyone I FOUND THE SOLUTION!!!
search down left in desktop date and time and if u see 2 bars turn them off and click the countries u see at the bottom and put ur country then enable those 2 bars again and click synce then it should work

this guy was trying so damn hard to get the video to 8 minutes that i think it actually hurt me.
Do not uninstall Fortnite. This is a quick and easy fix delete the save file to Fortnite do not delete the game, then do a hard reset disconnect the power cable from the Xbox count to 20 in plug Xbox back run Fortnite you’re welcome

I spent 2 weeks emailing epic sending videos and screenshots of all my settings on fortnite and pc and they still couldn't figure it out. Been doing this for 3 straight seasons now. Maybe once or twice a month it randomly works but other times I have to use xbox chat with buddies, every other game game chat works fine....

Well i have a problem with my voice chat on my pc it says it is turned on but then when i go on any console it is not and every time i try to fix it and go into settings, then it never shows the perfer channel and stuff so i can't even hear anyone or speak at all!
so with me i use the exact same input and output settings in fortnite's voice chat settings and discord's yet fortnites game chat still doesn't work for me
