- My puppy got her spay surgery, here is how it went and updates on how she healed. She is exactly 6 months old. The total cost for her was $611 for those curious. She was dropped off at the vet at 8am, i was notified that surgery began at 11am and was finished at noon. And she was ready for pick up by 3.

She’s a trooper. Her incision looks fine to me. My little girl of 18 years has had surgery a couple of times throughout the years and her incisions looked similar. Just have to give it time to heal. Only thing that was strange was how they didn’t give any antibiotics. I was always given pain meds along with oral antibiotics that I gave her. I would definitely call and ask.
Yeah I agree antibiotic cream is a huge must for our female doggys when recovering from being spayed I'd say she should still put just a little on to be on the safe side

Aww she adorable! Glad all went well! My mini goldendoodle got spayed in February and we had some issues and it was so scary. Her pancreas ruptured during surgery and she was so sick for a few weeks after and on so many meds and just not herself. We stayed up 48 hrs straight watching her cuz we were too scared to sleep. But now she his happy and healthy and she will be one year next month!

I had a c section and I was surprised how small the cut was too. They took a while baby out of a 5 inch cut lol. Hershey seems to be doing well though. She’s a trooper.

i think the vets continuing their "curbside only" at this point in time is ridiculous. we are in a much better place in this pandemic. i get this was a surgery and you cant physically be there for her surgery but for appointments and stuff, its time they start letting the owners in. i want to be with my furbabies when they are sick, i want to be in the room and express all my concerns to the vet. im over the curbside vet thing and most of them are still doing it! i stopped going to a vet clinic because they told me they aren't stopping curbside anytime soon. like are you kidding me? (all that aside tho, Hershey's a little trooper!!! before you know it she'll be right back to her old self!!! 💕)
