There's something existentially painful about an insurance ad in the middle of a radiohead song.
Oh man, it does hurt
No better words for these shit. I mean, what the fuck man, you have just pretended to explain the emotionally loaded story and right in the middle you have advertised the fucking insurance company. Its just disgusting
lol I bet the premium for Radiohead fans is hella high
@@vidheyaprem you haven't actually watched this video, didn't you? This is not about youtube ads.
Ik it’s not RUclips ads that was awkward af. I’m just making a side joke
not even history's worst placed advertising could fuck up this cover
I mean, is it too much to ask Chris Thile or the Punch Brothers to give us a Radiohead cover album?....sweet gravy man, that was good.
Yes!!!!!!!
Or them working together 🙏
How are all my favorite Radiohead covers done by this man?
I thinks it's because he has a lot of influence from classical music, and Radiohead music is very compositional. Jonny Greenwood was classically trained and has played a major role in the musical arrangements.
Sounds like you're a man with taste.
Or not, either way it's not my business.
Phenomenal!
(Apart from the massive Ad in the middle of it breaking it up 😢)
man I was really really vibin, but those mid song ad-reads were brutal bruh. ma knees weak lawd help me
you just gotta think a lil more progressive my guy
Losing this show was criminal.
I struggle with watchig LFH videos because any joy is tempered with my sadness and anger at the loss of the show.
Dont interrupt music with ads thats fucked up, do it before or after
This might be my favorite Radiohead cover they've done on the show. Sooooo good.
The hardest group to cover, yet he nails it everytime.
wtf did I just listen to a sponsor spot in the middle of a song?
Even though the credits in the middle of the song took away from the performance, I still find it impressive they were able to slide them in there so smoothly.
This would've made my playlist for sure, if it wasn't for the ad read in the fucking middle of the song. Goddamn what a shame. They could've done it after.
Epic cover. Made it his own. Great composition.
This was great, but I really missed the major ascending acoustic lines in the bridge that Radiohead does.
Liked this before the video even started! Thile always chooses the raddest songs to cover on Live From Here and crushes all of them!!
Chris Thile is amazing, just wish they would have saved the credits and ads until after the song... it ruins the buildup!
Smooth is an understatement.
Man, I find you everywhere :D What's next finding your comments on Fiona Apple songs.
Umm. Did he just speak a pop up ad into a radiohead song. Talk about blasphemy. What's the world coming to?
Oh thank you! I was about to ask... Was I confused?? Nope that was an ad amongst the beautiful music...
Please don't ruin this! There is already so much of this going on, don't need you filling our heads with more junk. Thanks but no thanks. Music was define. Shame you spoiled it.
What a let down
I hate that Chris Thile loves Radiohead more than I ever will and plays better than I ever could.
Listening to a world class mandolin player with classical influence cover Radiohead with passion, just makes me appreciate Radiohead even more. Genius compositions. Major buzzkill at the end though.
We took the Amtrak from Mount Pleasant to Chicago, it was sooooo cold (polar vortex); still had to get milkshakes at the Chicago Diner upon arrival though. There was a a ton of snow falling as we were walking to the venue, it felt like a Kubrick scene walking into the Chicago Symphony and being out of the blizzard. It was such a treat for them to play JSFIP, we had just seen Thom Yorke the previous month. After the broadcast ended, Chris tooks requests from the crowd and played an impromptu rendition of "Look What You Made Me Do" by Taylor Swift and they did an early run through of Bar Talk With Bartok. Jason Isbell and Eighth Blackbird sounded great, too bad Tom Poppa couldn't make it but he wasn't on every show. It was so much fun, we miss Live From Here.
Did they push a commercial midsong?! :-O
They named the sponsors. They always play a song as like the ending credits for the show.
Disgusting
It's Prarie Home Companion. Garrison never sang Radiohead at the end of the show, so we never cared about the performance. It was always just a happy, folksy sing along type song back then.
Such a pity they destroyed the whole feeling of such beautiful arrangement with all those thanks before finishing the song. They never took it back since that.
It's a live radio show! Gotta get those credits and sponsor billboards in one way or another
@@downriverprodThey could have done it before the last song. They ruined the flow totally.
Yup, wasted it
Lost between the notes
Shame for throwing in commercials . Not cool
A most brilliant music artist and an awesome cover 😊🎶❤️😊🎶❤️
Vibing with this take, very chill
Fantastic cover! Nice work.
Live from Here was so good. It is said it is gone.
Yeah dude, I miss it every single day. I wish I could wake up one day and lfh could be back on the air waves from 5-7 on Saturday nights.
Just like in real life -- you find something that could not be more perfect ... and then BAM, you are hit with reality. The credits ... could you not save those for some other song. Well, now you owe us a re-recording of this without all that fuss about who did what for this show. Especially now that show is over anyway. But I'm not sure any other recording will be more perfect than this cover!
heaven itself
Breathy acoustic cover?
This is amazing
I miss livefromhere So much
Everything i heard a beautiful cover of radiohead songs I belive how high level prduction was the "in the rainbow" album ...
Brilliant!
Keyboard’s got an SV1 and a nord going on. What a gangster.
chills
God that ad read at the end was so weird.
This is a theatrical performance… have you never seen theatre? The amount of comments here talking about this is crazy. This obviously isn’t some cover band, that’s literally how theatre works lol. There’s more forms of art out there than most people realize apparently
@@seffers4788 no. See, you've simply internalized an acceptance of the profane logic of capitalism. Also, you must not know anything about Radiohead. If they saw this performance they probably threw up on the spot. Reading a fucking ad in the middle of their song...Thile may be skilled at the mandolin, but I have zero interest in hearing his hollow music
What an artistery !
Sorry if that doesn't exist in english. I don't know 🤷🏾♂️
Sublime !
5:00 when the bass player (/others?) don't understand Chris's ridiculous cue
Corporate talk in the middle of the song
What feelings can do
Good cover Wolverine you do good music and movies
Brutal
Este loco si que le saco bien. Un zarpado jajaja graande
📻🗣
brought to you by Progressive insurance...nice way to kill a good song!
dam
xoxo
buen cover loco y esta canción es difícil
no loco la ultima parte la cagó
সাক্ষাত ভগবান
I want to hear them with thom , I really do
I try to be constructive, but it is hard. There are mutch of elelements I really love in your music. I’ve ner been a professional musician myself - and I can’t write for shit - but I think I you lost something when you composed that add. Don’t know how you should proceed, but I really really hope you do.
All the fucking best from Hellsinki
Anssi
Tom.papa destroyed this show I don’t know why it’s true tho
This was amazing! Did not expect to find this. It’s a real shame seeing so many people who have no idea what theatre is talk about how the credits ruined the song… or whatever they think it was lol. That’s literally how theatre is, people really need to branch out and experience more forms of art. This is obviously not some random cover group
you've internalized the logic of capitalism. But you don't understand that...
mid
This is the best version of the song period.
lol no
lol no
Lol no
Lol no!
Dothrak Qanno especially the ad!
Terrible, just terrible.
He doesn't even have the guitar skills to play the actual song. Why would he do a cover
What are you talking about
Well, this sucked. Good lord, weird performance and arrangement, but then throw in the corporate ad and one literally wants to ralph all over the room...
