I thought the bacon would be my favorite part, but the sunflower seeds really take it up a notch. Thanks for a winning summer potluck dish!
Same here! “Bragg’s Apple-cider Vinegar” with “the mother” ingredient, is the Best (IMO). It’s flavor is so much more robust in this recipe. I also cut my cheese in smaller bite sized chunks, instead of using a shredded.

I made this salad for today's 4th celebration. I had to adjust your recipe a little. Because I added carrots and rasins, which are naturally sweet, I cut back on the sugar. And I added 1TS of apple cider vinegar to give it some vest. I have quite afew seniors, with dentures, so I used my food processor on the carrots, broccoli, walnuts and purple onions. The salad was something different from our normal 4th meal. But a HIT. Only problem....I didn't make enough. Thanks for the recipe.💝
I made it and lightly steamed the broccoli until it was "crispy tender"...because I have elders who have a hard time chewing. They still had a time with it, but all the flavors made up for their extra effort! They loved it.
I made this recipe for my friends 😏 this was so good too, i had ro make it for my church the next day lol yes, refrigerated the salad the night before, we ate it 12 hours later. Super good flavors.
My daughter made this salad last weekend and I made it today. It is so good!!! I have a binder full of our favorite recipes and this one has earned a spot in it. Thank you for another great recipe. Take care!!!

The thing I like about making this salad is that you can customize it and mix whatever you want with it. I add peas to it but less onion. I mixed blueberry yogurt with the mayo. I also add raisins and chopped walnuts instead of sunflower seeds.

NEVER seen a mayonnaise made with olive oil on sale here in Ireland. All of them made with seed oils so I make my own with olive oil. I've cut out seed oils which are marketed as vegetable oils. Look what seed oils have done to the Americans!
I just made this. Wow I am going to be hard pressed to eat all this myself. And don't ya know, no matter how good the instruction, you can't discount my ability to do something weird. I'm pouring the dressing into the salad and I realize I have the bowl setting too far back under the upper cabinets. SO what do I do. Knock the spatula out of my hand and splatter dressing all over the brand new jeans I am wearing.... Sigh. It's in the refrigerator, I'm sure it will be good. I'll try some as soon as I get back.
