I can't believe I've been struggling for hours on end trying to figure out what is the proper glue for the flat backs that were purchased at Joann's Fabrics. Who would have known there is a device that can make this task a hell of a lot easier? Give this video a huge thumbs up!
Hello Arlene, Thanks for your kind appreciation and thanks for showing your kind interest for the same. To buy online crystal hot fix gun with seven size options from our website, kindly go through the link here : www.embroiderymaterial.com/tools/embroidery-jewelry-making
Thank you for this tutorial/video on how to use the Hotfix want/gun. I have one but it didn't come with any instructions. Thanks again. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Yes it does. I have that applicator (applied some to my jeans & they have been washed plenty of times) the only way they will come off is if you scratch it off (a little circle of glue residue might stay behind though)
Hello Tumslover27, There are 7 tips available with this applicator wand. You have to screw the appropriate tip for different stones. How strong the glue is, it depends on which type of stone you are using. The hotfixes that we offer have a strong glue and it lasts for a long period of time if pasted correctly.
I just tested mine on stretch satin (thin fabric with low melt point). I applied heat to the Hotfix gemstone for 5 seconds and it stuck okay without damaging the fabric
Can you use the Hot Fix Applicator if the gem doesn't have glue already on the back? So like, if I squeeze some hot glue onto the back of the gem, will the applicator still bond the crystal to the fabric?
Hello Kayy, Thanks for showing your kind interest for the same. The crystals that we have used in this video are know as hotfix crystals. They already have glue on their back. When we use hotfix applicator gun the glue at the back of the crystal melts and forms a bond with the surface.
Hello, you can buy this from our website. please click on the below link to buy it. www.embroiderymaterial.com/tools/embroidery-jewelry-making warm regards.
Not true. You can use a Hotfix wand and it will not burn, scrape or cause any other problem. I've personally done glasses, drinkware, dishes and water bottles. Just make sure the rhinestone is on the outside. Not food/drink safe
I think you're using the wrong size tip. I thought it wasn't supposed to touch the fabric. (This way it won't burn)

Isn't the light on the tool supposed to turn green once it's hot enough and ready to use? You skipped and didn't show that part.
Would an iron work for those crystals that need the hot fix tool thing?
It would! Just a bit tricky to get the placement of the crystal right, as you can't see it as easily as with a tool like this, but sure!
