My mother was a music teacher; and my sister and I watched this as tiny kids. It was my favorite, I thought it was so interesting and the music was incredibly beautiful.
ive been trying to find this for days! I kept using the phrase "Grey day, everything is grey, I watch but nothing moves today" when i was describing depression to a friend. I finally remembered where it came from!
thank you so much for uploading this, you don't know how much this means to me who remember's checking it out from the library and putting the cassette tape into the TV again and again and again as a kid. seeing it again, I never realized how much this held up for me and more than ever, it made me feel like I was a kid again. once again, thank you!
This video (and the book) right here...was the very foundation of me discovering my emotions and love of music/art. I would describe my emotions and recall what I saw in the video. It was a childhood classic. Now many years later, I'm reading My Many Colored Days book to my preschool students!
The only way I could find this treasure from my childhood was putting in the search engine “Green days, deep as the sea, cool and quiet fish. That’s me”
Love the music!! I was amazed the first time when I was a kid and I saw the entire orchestra clap at the Happy Pink scene! Since then, I have enjoyed it a lot from the "story concert".
I loved watching this as a kid! It was oh so beautiful to watch & I ESPECIALLY loved the behind the scenes. I wish we saw the making of it here, though, but still brings back memories for me.
I have been looking for this for years! Thank you. I always hoped they would release a DVD. I still hear the music in my mind when I see a particularly gray day or when any of the other colors come to mind.
Holly Hunter's voice really does sound the same in everything she's ever been in, and if you're from the same generation I am, you unfortunately can't not associate it with Helen/Elastigirl.
Always love using this during our Dr. Seuss week at school. I use it to teach timbre ( tone color) and other musical concepts to my elementary students. I noticed there seem to be some glitches through out the movie. I tried it on a different computer and it was the same. Has anyone else noticed this or is it my school system's technology? Thank you for posting this. I was wondering if there is a recording of just the music? Thanks again. Janet

Note:As The Main Live Note Around Here I’d Like To Let You In On A Little Secret What You’re About See Is Not Your Average Story Or Concert In Fact As My Friends Here Will Surely Agree You Probably Have Never Seen Anything Quite Like It Before
This is from before you kids were born. For the time this probably wasn’t bad. I remember my family borrowing this from the local library many times for me when I was a kid in the early 2000’s. Sure, it looks like shit now given the state of technology right now, but the concept and quality was probably pretty decent for the time it came out. 3D animation didn’t really start looking too refined as a whole until a few years later if I remember correctly. Just saying, cut them some slack, this was made before our current industry advancements that we are now used to, and is a fondly remembered part of some of our childhoods.
my elementary school music teacher would always show us this. we’d laugh for some reason, and she would lose her mind. memories
