I think Fr. Chad Ripperger also speaks about it in one of his conferences.

@@robinadair8918 hi I tried to post a link but unfortunately RUclips won’t let you post links. Please just google novena to break generational curses as there are many prayers out there. It is also important to make sure, truly make sure you live a Holy life. Go to confession often, do a life confession and pray daily. The Lord will heal you and your family. Be patient as it may take time. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lien on your own understanding.
      Go in Peace!

I know my family is cursed. Drugs, sexual abuse, sexual promiscuity, greed, dishonesty. I could go on , but I won't. I did some bad things in my past too. Thanks be to God I converted to the Catholic faith. I keep away from my family. I still love them. I pray for them too.

Fr. Reehil is correct. When I first heard about this, I was "Oh right, sure..." but upon thinking hard about it and how it applied to my life, I realized the truth. Perhaps it is not something wants to acknowledge as true, but you have to put down your defense and do some honest thinking.

Thanks for expanding on this. I remember last year when I was learning more about the faith, a theologian priest in South America was saying generational curses were not real but his explanations seemed flawed to me when comparing it to what I was learning. It left me confused for a while but then I came across Father Carlos Martins who provided a logical explanation proving that generational curses do exist. It helped tear down that stumbling block.

It's real,my wife is a former Jew who converted to traditional Catholicism and is now 100% lapsed fallen away. Her mother is gentile and the grandfather was 33rd degree stone-cutter. Life is and has been Hell,my parents were monsters. Generational curses are exist.

I fully concur. The patterns of evil that have befallen males in my family keep repeating. Free masons several generations back i unraveled. Despite several attempts to break these curses, I am at a loss.

Also I think it was Msgr. Stephen Rossetti who gave a good analogy of what generational curses are. Imagine in a family where the father is an alcoholic, it isn' the wife's and kids fault that their dad drinks and also due to the drinking issue he maybe acts aggressive towards them, both verbally and physically. So in a similar case although we aren't guilty of the curses and the open doors that our ancestors opened in the past we still can suffer some consequences. Demons are very legalistic and will take any chance they can get to attach themselves to a bloodline and wreck havoc on either an individual but especially the family.

It sure feels like it, for my life. I reaent with cause ,my so-called parents and a abusive step"dad" respect is earned, or demanded. Life isn't fair, fairness doesn't exist, as least that is what my life taught me. I even had a Home church pastoe say to me when i was in his Gospel mission shelte, yeara agaor which are glorified prisons for men, Say to me , after i has been in a car wreck, that 'datan waa winning." Because I was in trauma and shock and felt God didn't care. I left attending any kind of church long ago. A lot people ate tyrants and narcissist abusers and they are most often in positions of power here. The ten plagues of Egypt wouldn't suffice foe modern day america, need way more now.
