This was a season of "what ifs?". But that Wisconsin game was what deflated that season and Iowa, in all reality, didn't recover until the Pitt game this past year IMO. That was when the mojo was back.

I remember thinking like many around the nation that the 2010 Hawkeyes had Nation Champ potential. This game definitely showed that. The early loss to Arizona was bad.
Totally Agree!! I remember that Wisconsin game like it was yesterday...... The last 6 seconds ran off the clock and at least 40,000 Iowa fans just stood there in disbelief... for at least 20 minutes. Everyone was just stunned and heartbroken. My dad and i became physically ill after that game. I missed school on monday!! anyway... GO HAWKS
I remember watching this game at our local BWW. I've been one of the very few hawkeyes in this establishment for just about every hawk game televised. I've felt like John Wayne up in that mug numerous times as a hawk fan. Can't remember if this is the year that Stanzi gets hurt and that other QB?/James Vanderjack??mind blank...goes into the Horseshoe and almost wins after 2 OTS..Once again I was John Wayne at BWW..running my mouth just like the buckeyes back to me.
A lot of Iowa teams are. So is the 2020 team. 2 losses in 2020 by a total of 5 points. It’s set up that way to keep Iowa out of the College Football Playoffs. Because those 4 spots are for Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame and Ohio state.....and sometimes they allow Oklahoma and LSU to use one of those spots.
At the end of the video one of the announcers say "the boys on game day called this one, they said Iowa would " no they didn't, only Will Ferrell picked Iowa
