Arinjay Pokhriyal yeah but many movie stars and musicians, sports celebrities with cash power are mobilising and DONATING plenty towards rescue relief, and you can bet that more of them will show up in the future to help rebuild areas struck by this tragedy. We need to recognize the goodness of heart, regardless of social status. In fact, people bitch about the rich but the American wealthy are the ones who MOST help financially towards those in need PERIOD. Be it in the fiscal incentive nature of the nation, be it out of humanitarian consciousness, or BOTH, we should all be thankful for that. ✌

Hallelujah! What an inspiring story! My heart breaks thinking of all the animals that were deserted by their folks. I cannot understand how ANYBODY could leave their animals behind…this horse appears to be very well taken care of, and has a lot of meat on her bones! I am so thankful that she was rescued, because I know that there are many who were not, and it breaks my heart...
Animal lover I could never live with myself if I ever abandoned one of my animals, let alone any other animals. If I ever see an unaccompanied dog wherever I am and whatever I am doing, I always pull over! I fail to comprehend somebody abandoning an animal. There's something wrong with the person's heart that would enable them to be able to do such a despicable actions. Animals trust us, and depend on us to care for them in the healthiest and most wholesome way possible! It is the betrayal of that animals trust to abandon them, regardless of whether a hurricane is on its way or not! People had enough warning, and out of love for their animal should have prepared contingencies for situations such as this! My heart breaks for these poor animals! I have missed our corresponding like we used to do, but enjoy with all my heart your company when we do get to talk. This critter here looked scared and didn't want to move. Thank goodness for these guys that risk their own lives to help the helpless. Carolyn please take care of yourself. I got real worried when you said you didn't feel good and the heat was almost unbearable. Please Carolyn try to go maybe to WalMart and get a small window unit. They don't cost that much I don't think. I'm sorry Carolyn i'm going into an area that is none of my business. I just worry about you with your disability. You've never told me what that was. DammitBoy I got no sleep last night due to black Sean attacking again. And then another individual which I suspect might be another alias of his, Ressa, was also insulting...there are almost 500 comments between the troll, myself, and two other ladies...Mistress, and Stella anon. It is on the video with Charlie the feral cat that licks feral kittens and mellows them out. I was actually shocked that the troll created 2 new avatar names last night, "Matthew Hardcock," and that changed to "Mistress of Stella anon." Another fella, claiming to be argosoldier from the Diane days, claims to now be "CH514." He kept telling the two ladies to quit engaging in the troll, and yet he never once said anything about the troll until many hours later. I'm done talking about it for now, but let me tell you that the anguish that I went through last night makes the kindness of your comment all the greater to my heart. I humbly thank you for the kindness you give me. And the support. And you have blessed me by mentioning other people who also make kind comments towards me. Your kind words go a long way in healing my hurting heart...I shall take the apostle Paul's advice, and I want you to know that I am sending my love with his words!

Carolyn.....Please please don't engage with these people anymore. They are doing this just to get you upset. You told me last week to not talk to them so I quit and they moved on. I care deeply for you and don't like it when you are upset. Don't engage and they will eventually leave. Talk to the people that love you Carolyn, and there is a lot of them. Carolyn Nunes some people were unable to make it home. Some forced to open gates/cages/doors to give animals the best chance to save themselves. And of course there are those that are just ignorant and cruel but I think the latter is fewer then the former. God Bless

Hello again, Emma Beth. They can shed "tears" if their eyes are irritated for some reason. Stop being such a Debbie Downer. Animals also experience emotions, not the way we do, but they do have emotions.
Janadu I do realise that horses have emotions as I do work with them and again I assumed people would understand that I meant emotional tears. Sorry I didn't clarify.
I'm sorry, I don't think any of you are horses and I don't think you know what this poor baby was feeling. She was clearly scared to death and probably quite grateful to have been rescued - so until I can speak directly to a horse I will choose to believe those were tears of relief and joy. Again, very sweet video, thank you to those men for rescuing her!!! ❤️
kelleydavis100 Yes I do believe that the horse was scared (and stressed) and you believe whatever you want but I think you should see this, "There are no documented cases of emotional tears being shed by any nonhuman animal, and though there are anecdotal reports of such tears in nonhuman animals, these report such tears in many non-aquatic animals. So it cannot be said to be a trait shared only by humans, aquatic animals, and Indian elephants." This is from a veterinarian website, again believe what you may but these are the facts.

I think that was a tear that first dropped from her eye. A tear of joy and appreciation. I think animals have more emotions than humans at times.

Bless those rescuers. I've seen such an outpouring of love for family pets but remember this is Texas. There are thousands of farm animals around the flooded areas. So great to see rescuers are willing to help them out. So many people are out there helping everyone and everything they can. God Bless them and Texas! We'll get through this mess thanks to folks like these.

I just saw this on tv, the fireman(bless you for saving her!!) who rescued her said her owner has yet to come forward. Finding it hard to believe a horse in such good shape and obviously well bred would not be looked for. Hoping that they are okay. Shes a gorgeous mare, anyone would be proud to own her. Thank you to all the hometown heroes!

I want to see more stories like this. I wish every animal was saved during this tragedy, but I know that's not true. Regardless, seeing these heroes risk their lives for an animal in need is incredible.
Oh my God, the horse had tears once rescued. I pray that all the families and their pets are reunited. This was a horrific loss but the kindness of mankind abounds in times like this. Total strangers risking their live to save others and animals. Maybe we needed these storms to REMIND US of our purpose on this planet.

Omg... Did anyone else see that massive tear fall from the horses' eye? I mean, it may have just been water, but that was RIGHT out of the tear duct... Thank goodness there are brave and kind people trying to rescue the animals as well as the people. To everyone out there helping the efforts

It's so sad to see thousands of animals that were left. Many didn't survive. We know several people who lost horses and cattle or their house to this hurricane. It just showed me that you never take anything for granted.

Yeah, that was real heroic. What in ankle deep water? Those guys deserve medals, a ceremony and a sit down meal. My heart was racing at all the danger.
I rescued Dogs ( over 20 dogs ) who were seeking shelter during hurricane Matthew,Harvey and my friends helped too so we risked our lives to save them.
GOD BLESS ALL THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE RESCUEING THE ANIMALS, BIG AND SMALL, YOU ALL ARE JUST AMAZING.. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.

This video brought tears to my eyes. Thank God for these people who are out there rescuing the animals.
Whenever you see people that down-grade these videos, remember that they aren't just trying to be "different". They are people so lacking in love that they can't stand to see love shown to others, or really anything positive, since their lives are so negative. I feel for them.

The guy did a great job fashioning the yellow rope into a real makeshift halter !! Much easier to control the horse than just a loop around her neck !! Great Job Start to Finish ..... These people know horses. Smart Mare. She was sweet from the beginning. Knew they were there to help.

That took enormous courage. Even if those fellas were familiar with horses there was no way of predicting how that poor beast would react . If she had suddenly panicked, particularly as she was led into the middle of the water where the current would be stronger , those leading her could have been seriously injured, even killed. And this must have been very clear to them. Isn't it enormously uplifting to to see humans at their best?

Now, can we explain to the rest of this group that horses don't cry? (I'm sure her human cried plenty of tears for the both of them) The tear in her eye at the end was most likely a reaction to being irritated by flies.... anthropomorphizing this horse by claiming that she's crying is a sweet thought, but simply not true,
