You are one of my favorite model builders. I like that you take on more than just aircraft kits and you have a unique approach to each build. Thank you for the excellent content. Cheers Alex!
Very strikingly handsome aircraft Alex. We saw enough in your video, even with the missing video files, to appreciate the build and all the work you passionately put into it.
Congratulations on completing this one, we know sometimes how it is to lose your mojo, especially when the kits fight back, and even more so when they don't fight fair.
I'm sorry to hear about your data loss! Regardless, you've done a fantastic job and I thank you for sharing it with us. I can tell that this particular aircraft holds emotional significance with you. I just want to thank you for sharing that with us! Take care, brother!
It always looks so frustratingly easy when the modeling experts put these together. Then I attempt it... My models look like planes from a distance. Seriously though, still working on the detailing. That’s what separates the men from the boys. This turned out perfect. Thank you for sharing Alex! Hope you get your lost data back.
Alex, this was worth the wait, what an outstanding job brother. The Portuguese Air Force sure knows how to paint 'em! That is one beautiful looking bird. I sincerely hope all of your pics and data are recovered from your hard drive. I have to say this is probably one of the best kits you have done. Really something to be proud of. 👍👍👌. As always my friend have a great week and stay save my friend.
Hey Alex nice to have you back and see you build another masterpiece. I checked scalemates and it seems Italeri and Kinetic have collaborated on the 1/48 f-16 where Italeri has actually re boxed a couple of Kinetic f-16s. The one you built here is however descended from an Italeri 1994 tooling. Kinetics f-16 line is from 2008 tooling with various tweaks later. I believe someone who has some experience and determination can make something beautiful. Although I like to see what people think about kits before buying I don't really listen to rivet counters. If I like it I'll buy it it and make the best of it. Keep up the great work and please keep on smiling!
LOVELY. What I specially like the most were the details to the cockpit (the seat in particular) and that weathering-panelling underside the aircraft. I may try something like that for my next kit, because the one I am currently working on (a civilian aircraft) is not the best base to try weathering, I think... This may be (not 100% sure yet) a 1/48th F/A-18A Hornet, for which I bought special decals by eBay for a rather colorful commemorative scheme. I didn't know that Portugal used F-16s, which makes this kit special because it´s not our usual overall USAF F-16 in that dull, boring and lifeless overall grey scheme.
Good luck retrieving the data off your hard drive especially all of the family images the model is not so important. If you can retrieve the footage we would love to see it. Outstanding build as always mate. Awesome 👏 Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
Eduard models will release a 1/48 tornado in gulf war colors. Decal super sheet. It will also contain resin upgrade goodies. I really wish you would build this kit so I can watch the master at work and to follow along!
Too bad you lost some of the footage, but i enjoyed it regardless and the plane is just a stunner! A proud Portuguese plane it is! I always thought that the Kinetic and the Italeri kit are the same tooling? How can be one worse or better than the other?
What do you think Modeling is ?? Work with 60's tooling and you will say damn this is a breeze!!! Lol I have been modeling since I was 7 or 8 I got my first model in the hospital it was a snap kit so I could make it thru that experience at 7 years old I ripped the pieces off the tree til a nurse let me use scissors that kit you have looks GREAT to me course today's kits hardly challenge modellers lol have fun though !!!
Really cool loved it. Can you please find a larger round mirror to put on top of your turntable, so we can see the whole underside of the model as she turns for us? :)
Beautiful outcome since my DNA check came out I just might have to try that scheme !! Hard work pays off but those iterlari kits to me (they did most of the testors kits ) are a staple from the 80's just would like to know the co. For the decals and where did you get the template s or masks for the wings ?? If you don't mind sharing
I don t mind... The color blue was x3 Tamiya and the decals are from a polish company... Search for Polish decals 1/48 Portuguese Veja Air Base 50 years.. sorry forgot the name of the decals company
@@AlexModeling I meant to say my DNA came out to 21% Portuguese and a lot of 2 and 1 percents from Italy and Greece and 41% France anyway that is an awesome Scheme so now to find a decent kit I'm already doing a 1/48th 95th anniversary "Hat in the ring" F-16 block 50 and a Tuskegee airmen Red Tail F-16 ! I guess I'll have a production line going lol
Outstanding job Alex .Ive been watching you for a long time now, and I'm curious about your collection of models. Do you have a place you display them? a workshop? Can maybe you do a video on your collection?
I have ONLY 3 ir 4 here! The models i do are or on display on modeling shops or sometimes i give some to some kids. Others i keep to exibitions but not too many! I still don t have a "corner" of my own to display these

I suffered like a condemned when you had to place the decal with the saber
Olá Alex, parabéns por mais um excelente modelo e sendo um comemorativo ainda o torna mais atraente, uma vez que os decalques também são bons . Abç
Abraço e obrigado

Wait, so is the F-86 Sabre decal to scale with the Falcon?
No. But in 1/72 yes like in real life 1/4 of its real size
AlexModeling 👍
Cool! ☺
Lindo asas de 🇵🇹 Portugal
A beautiful result, shame about the footage. That sabre decal looked difficult to get on.
