Hindustani Malkaus is Karnataki Hindolam

Hindol and Raag Hindolam is different? I thought Malkauns is Carnatic version of Hindolam

Hindolam is in Carnatic music and resembles Malkauns of Hindustani music
Hindol is much different. It has Sa Ga Ma Dha Ni swars with Madhyam teevra and rest shuddha swaras.

Both are entirely different raaga. To my knowledge, there is no equivalent of raaga hindol in Karnataka shastriya Sangeetha.
