Absolutely, let's add some suspense to it: "Deep within the lush landscapes of St. Thomas, there's a plantation, a hidden relic veiled from common view. Shrouded in mystery, its story whispers through time, waiting to be unraveled. Today, we embark on a journey to uncover the secrets of the Albion Sugar Plantation, a place obscured from our sight but not from history's grasp. Get ready, as we step into the shadows of the unknown."
Albion was a sugar plantation in Saint David Parish, Jamaica. Created during or before the 18th century, it had at least 451 slaves when slavery was abolished in the British Empire in 1833. By the end of the 19th-century it was the most productive plantation in Jamaica due to the advanced refining technology it used. By the early 20th century, however, its cane sugar could not compete with cheaper European beet sugar, and it produced its last sugar crop in 1928. It subsequently became a banana farm for the United Fruit Company.

I wish we had a department of the government that restores and upkeep these properties. If I had the capital I would restore them to their former glory and let Jamaicans see the past even more

    Wow.
    You ok?
30:20 because a foreign investor hasn't proposed the idea. While if a Jamaican / returning resident would get the proverbial door slammed in their face. Sorry Alex, that's rude..mi a blame the election results or lack thereof🙄 for my flippant comment😁

It's good to see you back doing the thing you love, I had to take a second look then the voice confirmed it's you. Alex you are spot on in saying the Government should utilized the land and make it farmable to provide jobs for the unemployed......Importing certain fruits and vegs that can be grown in Jamaica seems ludicrous.

@@EliteJamaica You are welcome. What you have topped into is the history and culture aspect of the tourism industry as million of people around the world travel and read about heritage tourism. Example such as I travel to Peru to see the ruins at Machu Picchu and I am planning to go to Mexico city to the Aztec ruins and to Egypt and Sudans to the ancient ruins.
