Thank you for this video and your channel. It is so important for plus size and differently abled people to see that they CAN go to theme parks, ride rides, and have fun. This empowers us to not be scared and to go out and live life! Thank you, Pammie!
I’ve been avoiding this ride for no reason!! THANK YOU PAMMIE
I hope the video will inspire you to try it.Thank you for watching!
i’m not even plus sized i just love your personality
lily ruth Her videos put me in such a good mood!
Same. While I’m on the chubbier side (L/XL) Im not necessarily considered plus size and I don’t need to worry about rides or anything. I just love watching her videos.
Same 😂 I love her videos
The one time I was lucky enough to visit disneyworld in the nineties, I went on splash mountain with the little boy I was looking after. I remember we had an incredibly long wait, but we were both determined to go on it and we both loved it!
OMG!!! I'm so so happy I have found your channel. As a big guy 5'11 350 pound I'm constantly wondering/fearing which rides I can fit into or cant. I hate getting to the end of the line only to find out the lap bar or whatever wont go down. Thank you for your content!!!
You are so welcome!
Splash Mountain was my favorite ride as a small fry... Glad to know I'll still be able to ride it when I go in the near future!!! (:
Splash is my absolute favorite! I never realized that the front row had more legroom. Great tip!
It doesn't look like a ton more room but it does look to have a little extra bit.
Tracie Hess yeah but I’m not sitting in front
I rode Splash Mountain
YEARS ago. I had since lost my nerve. This is the exact video I need. Most videos skip the part where the person is boarding. That's the part I need most. Having your videos is going to get me back on the rides!
Thank you so much for these videos!!! You have eased my anxiety about not fitting. Thank you soooo much!!!
Pammie you are doing the Lord’s work!! Thank you for your videos! My husband and I (just 2 plus sized princesses) are going on our honeymoon to Disney in June and have been so reassured by you! Thanks so much!!
I am so glad the videos are helping! I do what I can in my own small way to spread some happiness and help people make the most of their vacations.
I'm going tomorrow!
I can't sleep!
I hope you have a magical day 🦄💜🦄
When we went the first time 10 yrs ago our friend was so excited he threw up the night before. 9 more months to go until our 2nd visit.
So Fun! I was on it a few months ago as a plus size woman and felt super comfortable.
So glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for sharing!
Suzanne G me too
I’ll never forget the first time I rode Splash Mountain as a kid, I was amazed! I expected a normal six flags log flume ride but got so much more! Again wonderful content that so many people find useful!
I’m definitely feeling nervous about fitting on this one, I can’t wait to watch!
Thank you so much for your help! I'm disabled and a big gal and so glad to know in advance that I can ride this ride! I'll be in Disney world end of March.
Love this! We just came back from Magic Kingdom and rode.this ride for the first time as plus size riders. We also had no problems getting on or off. It was amazing!
So glad you loved this ride! Thank you for sharing your experience!
RUclips just recommended this one to me. I can smell the water just watching it! This is really making me want to break my rules for going out in public and take a day trip just to ride Splash Mountain, lol.
It's so tempting!
Another great video Pammie...I am afraid of that drop!
It is a 50' drop, but it is over really fast and it's sort fun.
Main Street Moments me too
Main Street Moments me too
Watching your videos makes me happy. As a plus size person my self I worry about these things. I can’t fit on flight of passage so ever since then I worry about all rides
I haven't fit on FOP either -- it's the only Disney ride I have not been able to fit on -- all the others are manageable for me.
looks fun!!! thanks for all the good tips. would not like getting wet.
Thank you for always pointing out the best ways to get in and out of the ride cars!
I love Splash Mountain, I come back and watch this video just for the great footage of my favorite ride and your awesome personality!!
Oh my gosh, that is so sweet! I am so glad you like the video. Thank you for watching!
This is my favorite ride at wdw. I love it! Im unable to climb stairs so when I get to the part of the line where you would climb stairs, I tell the CM and they direct me to enter through the exit. This is where wheelchairs will be directed also.
Thank you for sharing that! I know that to will help many people enjoy the ride💜
Barb Hawkinson that’s what I said above
I am a size 16, and I rode this next to my tiny 4 year old nephew. The lap bar not going all the way on him made me nervous and granted twice when the log was just floating he stood up but I immediately made him sit and I did put my arm around him and hold onto him just to be safe but we had a great time as a family on Splash mountain and it’s one of our favorites
The thing people seem to forget is that the bar will only come down as far as the largest person -- which is almost always the adult. So, even "average" size parents/guardians have the same situation where the bar will only come down and touch their lap but not the lap of the child next to them -- so it is not just a problem faced by plus size people. The good news is that Imagineers designed this ride to be safe as long as you meet the minimum height requirement and stay seated. The lap bar doesn't hold you in as much as it is designed to ensure you stay seated.
I just found your page and I think you and your videos are awesome!! I have a special needs son who is pooh size and all of the information you give is so so helpful! ❤️
I am so glad to hear that, Linda and I hope the information helps you make the most of your visit to Disney.
You really explain things so well. Enjoying your channel
Wow.. Pammie😃.. I just found your channel and I LOVE it 😍😄. Great Times. Thanks for sharing. MUCH LOVE from Florida Belinda Long 😁
Thank you for this video!! My husband and I are going in a few weeks and we have some anxiety about what rides he will fit on comfortably
Great video and I love the way you did your hair!
Thank you, Karen! I think this style will be in my regular rotation -- it worked out really well and was comfortable.
The front is roomy but one other thing the front seat was the dear wife and I noticed about being Pooh size is the log really hits the bottom of the drop with a splash LOL 😝 we get ourselves and everyone soaked ! Love it love it love it 🥰
I have had that happen too. If they try to seat me up front I just ask them if I can sit further back. LOL
I love this! I’m plus size (size dress 16) and I needed this
I love this ride. I used to be plus sized. I wish I found your channel before. You provide so much helpful information. Love your personality as well.
Thank you so much, Shell My Belle! I hope the info in the videos will help many people make the most of their vacations!
Thanks for your videos. I am a plus size woman from Puerto Rico and i'm going to Disney in May 2020. Now i am brave to Splash Mountain
The drops and the lazy river aspect of the ride are a lot of fun. I hope you enjoyed the ride.
Thank you Pammie. This is my second favorite ride.
It's a fantastic ride. I think it has everything -- great music, a strong story line, animatronics, outdoor sections, a dark ride section, water and it's also a thrill ride. It's also more than 9 minutes long which makes it worth the wait. In my opinion, it is the most comprehensive Disney rides. I really love it!
R.D. Dragon what’s your first
@@svhwdwnut Big Thunder Mountain 😃
I love your videos!! For any California Disneyland peeps our Splash Mountain is a one-seater and has no lap bar or restraint 😊
Thank you for watching and thanks for that info -- I know it will help many. 💚
I really love your videos thanks for posting them it makes me feel better knowing me am a plus size person as well that I know people like us can have fun at disney parks your a sweet lady thanks for always putting a smile on my face your very beautiful as well I been going to the gym also it’s never easy but please keep posting more video thanks again and have a wonderful Christmas.
I am so glad the videos have been useful to you. Good luck on your health and wellness goals --- remember that good health is something we strive for our whole life and it's OK to take your time doing the best you can to take care of yourself. Hope your holidays are merry and bright!
Good to know the tips to stay somewhat dry!
Great video! I have been nervous to try this ride, but I think I will give it a go on our trip in March. I would love to see you try FOP again with an outfit that could help this time. Thanks Pammie!
I will try again even though I know that at my current weight my chances of fitting are not great. If I don't fit on the next try -- I will try again after the ride goes through its first major refurbishment, in case they adjust the seats.
Hi just found your channel. Thank you! I thought for sure I couldn’t get on any rides again.
Another helpful video!
Great job panniers loved the video keep them coming
Thank you so much for watching and encouraging me.
Thank you for providing us with so much useful information, I wear a 2X but my partner recently underwent chemotherapy treatment and the steroids made him put a lot of weight on and is bigger than he was on our last trip. Really stressing over whether we would fit together but this has really reassured me! Thank you Pammie x
I am so happy the info in the videos is helping you see how much you can enjoy and all that is possible. Send my love and healing vibes to your partner. I had cervical cancer 30 years ago and I understand the process of treating and recovering from cancer. Disney is a place where you can let go and celebrate life. I hope you have a marvelous trip!
Thank you so much for these videos! I'm so glad that it should work for me! It's been hard to choose rides that will work for me so I'm glad I can ride this!
It's such a fun ride -- great music, part dark ride, part outdoor ride, part relaxing, part water coaster -- it's sweet, and a little scary and 100% fun. I hope you have a blast.
Great video and tips!
Problem is. I don't like roller coasters.this is one of the best subscriptions I made.
I’m not plus sized but I love your videos! ❤️
Thank you, i'm so glad you like them. Many people tell me the accessibility info is helpful and some folks say the videos calm anxieties they or their kids have about the rides. I'm so excited that lots of different people enjoy them ❤
Pammie Plus Parks lots of good info! I just found your Chanel and your voice is really calming and I listen to this in the background while I’m working 😂 keep up the good work 👏
@@jazjim1582 that is too sweet! Thank you!
For wheelchaired people & disabled people u go in thru the exit I’m overweight but can fit in the ride my mom ride with me & it was so fun
One of my favorites!
another awesome video
You totally eased my fears, thank you!!
Were you here today? Lol dang it I’m here waiting for the fireworks! Tomorrow is Epcot day!
Sorry, Jenny, I wasn't. I filmed this video in June and an currently in the middle of my passholder blackout dates. I hope you are enjoying your time in the parks. 😃
I am loving your videos so much! Thank you :)
Thank you for the Great Content! It's very helpful information.🙂
Awesome! My family and I are going in June, can't waitttt!!!
Such a great ride!
Great fun!
Haha!!! We broke it!!!!
In all honesty, I don't think it was me, it was just a bitter co-incidence... Like most big guys, I was very self conscious, but we seemed to be OK fitting on it. Went round the whole thing... got to the bottom of the BIG incline for the long drop... and we sat there..... and we sat there.... and we sat there.....
Yep... it was broken. Ah well, got on it again later in the day no problem and like I said, it wasn't cos of my weight... but was a bit funny
I appreciate your sense of humor! Of course, it had nothing to do with you. Very likely, someone dropped their phone in the water or a hat flew off someone's head. Things like that are the most common causes for rides to stop. So glad you were able to enjoy it later.
who else just wants to chill with her at disney an jus do whatever 😻
New subscriber here! I absolutely love your channel! I am Pooh size & you just have so much information for the rides! You are inspirational also! I love your positivity! Thank you for sharing!
I rode Splash Mtn right before it closed for covid-19. I am a 5’8 woman and at the time weighed 330 with my biggest part being my stomach. The lap bar was not an issue for me but my legs were very cramped. I had to cross my legs at the ankle. I made it through the ride but I wasn’t comfortable. Though I think it was more an issue of my height than weight
On your next visit, sit on your own. If you are traveling with a party, let them know you are part of a party but need a row of your own for comfort. They will immediately understand and let you without issue. You will be able to sit with your knees spread further apart or you can sit a bit sideways for comfort.
You are delightful
Thank you 😃
Would two plus size people be able to sit with each other ? Or would you recommend to sit alone
If you are smaller plus size person you should be able to ride together but I like to sit on my own. It allows me to shift back and forth across the bench and avoid getting too wet, lol!
Pam, bam, thank you maam.
I’m coming to Disney in October I feel like I need to just bring you with me so you can give me all the plus size tips!!
I’m plus size, and I’m going next June, what are the park restrictions for camera stuff can I bring a small tripod for like a go pro?
No professional photography or filming can take place in the parks without advance permission of Disney Parks...in other words, you cannot film a TV show or movie, and you cannot bring your own professional photographer in to take pictures unless that photographer has an agreement and permission with Disney or is a contractor of Disney.
Tripods or monopods that extend over 6' and/or cannot be folded down to fit into a standard back pack are not allowed.
Professional lighting, professional audio equipment, and professional video or film equipment are not allowed....no large vid cameras, no boom mics, no large external lighting. Selfie sticks are also not allowed.
Any camera such as a cell phone camera, standard, hand held cameras (even ones with interchangeable lenses), and handheld video cameras are allowed. Mics need to be attached to the filming device or be wireless.
Tripods that open to less than 6' and can fold down to fit in a back pack are allowed.
I believe you are referring to a small hand held, table top tripod...those are allowed. GoPros and other small cameras are allowed.
At this time guests are allowed to take pictures and film for their own non-professinal purposes. Vloggers like myself, live streamers, Instagrammers, and TikTokers are also allowed to film at this time. However, that may change as you get closer to your trip. Check in with Guest Services online or on the phone to double check on film and video restrictions next year.
@@PammiePlusParks Thanks, I ask because i wanna record the trip for family videos. Because we are taking my Niece and Nephew for the first time. I have a GoPro and The GoPro Shorty Mini Extension Pole Tripod. It Closes down and will fit in a bag, and only Extends up to 8 inches.
@@EliteJCTV that sounds perfect. Make sure you are prepared to take that extender out and show how far it will extend. I would recommend doing this yourself rather than handing it to security to do it. Although they meant well, I have had a couple of hundred dollars in mini tripods and handles destroyed by security guards who didn't believe my equipment only extended a couple of inches...they pulled too hard trying to expand them and broke them.
@@PammiePlusParks Sounds Good, do you think they won’t allow me to take that particular mount into the parks?
@@EliteJCTV I think it may be ok since it has such a short extension. If they don't allow it, you can ask to check it in, they may allow you to come pick it up at the end of your day in the park...but I'm not positive about that.
The seats are different on California. They are one sitters. And one behind the other. And No safe bar's. Its just gravity.
I Love your videos. I'm a new subscriber. And I'm a size 16 girl.
Thank you so much for sharing! That is good to know! Thank you for watching!
Thank you sooooo much you’re amazing
Do you have a video for Space Mountain and Mission Space? I can’t seem to find a video for it.
Not yet -- they are both on my list.
So will Splash Mountain be open January of 2019?
It is not scheduled to be closed. This ride was closed for a big chunk of the summer of 2018 for a big refurbishment. In the past, it has been common for this ride to close for a couple of weeks to be cleaned and refreshed but since they did a big refurbishment this summer, it is not slated to be closed in January or February 2019.
How tall would you say the sides are?
I am sorry, I have not measured it. It is possible to pause the video and look at the points where I have my backpack on the seat next to the entrance/ exit to give you a visual reference.
Pammie Plus Parks I have a solution. You know how the panel on some of the trains on the last car on big thunder railroad pop out? How about something like that?
Ty for video.
Cool vid
Yeessss
💚
I like your hair
Thanks! I'm actually wearing my hair this way today!
Marrey Christmas
Merry Christmas, Candace! 🎄
You should ride it during M NSSHP! You get really wet!
Is that because the boats are more empty?
