Your positivity is so contagious 😊 It's always lovely to see new faces to the hobby. You seem to be pretty set but one thing I'd really recommend you get is a bivvy bag, it's a waterproof bag to go over your sleeping bag, and dry sleeping bag means warm sleeping bag. It could literally save your life when you're not near a shelter. Some other useful things: -tweezers and a small mirror (for ticks) -sleeping mask and earplugs -hand warmers (electric or chemical), good for heating the sleeping bag or drying damp boots -a hanging light/lantern -2 sources of fire (lighter/matches/ferro rod) -dry bags (for electronics, clothes, food) -puncture repair kit (for inflatables) -hiking shovel (sooner or later you'll need it) -sponge or a small cloth (for wiping down water off of stuff) Also keep your electronics and your water filter relatively warm, cold batteries quickly degrade and water filter stops working when frozen over. If you find yourself out there in less than 10 °C just keep this stuff in your sleeping bag with you. Note that I'm from Czechia so things may differ, but I'd guess it gets pretty cold and wet up there in Norway. And always bring more food than you think you'll need, some comfort food and some snacks. I'm definitely looking forward to videos sharing your wonderful adventures and all the beauties of the Norwegian nature. Go out there and enjoy yourself!
Thank you so much for your comment, I really appreciate it! 😊 That’s really good advice and I haven’t even thought about keeping electronics warm. I’m learning a lot! 💡
I can really feel the excitement from you, I love it!❤ If I were you I would definitely take advantage of borrowing the more expensive equipment for your fist hike. Then it's easier to know what you prioritize regarding to weight, how much room it takes up in your backpack and the price. You have to find the sweet spot of where you are comfortable at camp but also comfortable when hiking and not carrying too much weight. I'm sure you'll figure it out once you've tried it out. I hope you have a wonderful time and that it encourages you to do it again because it's genuinely so much fun and such a freedom to be out in nature like this. Btw I've spent several weeks in the Swedish fjäll with the same backpack that you bought and it worked great for me! God tur!
As someone who wild camps and hikes A LOT, please please please test out your gear on a short (at least 3km) hike and set everything up for an overnight close to your home or car. Take a look at night-time forecasts. If the climate is anything like Poland, it can be 27 during the day, but drop down to 8 or 9 at night. If a sleeping bag says that it is comfort rated at (let's say) 10 degrees, it's probably closer to 15 degrees.
It's really not that easy to make friends in Oslo. But have you tried joining DNT? They have many different types of activities where you can get to know new people. And I also recommend joining different types Facebook groups to make friends. 😊
I often use my hammock whilst wild camping get yourself a really good underquilt and a tarp. It rains a lot in Scotland. If you could recommend a good trail for my visit I’d appreciate that. Thanks Stephan
If you haven't decided on a first aid kit yet I can recommend the DNT one, it's got a reflective blanket along with a good kit of bandages, bandaids, blister aids, etc all stored in a waterproof rolltop bag. It tends to be my go-to these days. And for electrolytes, we dont have LMNT in Norway which you tend to see alot of in other youtube videos, but there's a company that sells basically the same thing for the Norwegian market called Superstate. I've only had their strawberry ones so far but they were great when I crossed Hardangervidda. 🙂
@@linnyinoslo Great, hope you have a lovely trip 🙂 I spent last night out at Nøklevann without a bug net and had no issues with neither musquitos or spiders so I think you'll be safe 😅 it did get down to 2 degrees celcius tho so bring warm clothing!
Hey! You are too cute not to be notice.I like your channel, its full of positive vibes and funn. Im in the gening of hiking and your recomandation about DNT its verry useful information. See you around there.... I will be verry happy to meet you around there to a cup of coffe and some "kvikk Lunsj" 😂😂 Enjoy ... and... Ha en fin tur!😊
Thank you for your video! I have slept in a hammock before. It sleeps quite well, but you can get cold feet faster because your feet are up in the air, so keep that in mind. And of course you can't sleep on your stomach. I want to visit Norway soon, in which areas can you go for nice hikes? Good luck with your camping trip!
Thank you for your comment, I will definitely keep that in mind. And I will let you know how it went in the next video. 😄 There are so many beautiful places. I haven't been to that many yet myself (as I mentioned in the video my goal is to go on more hikes from now on), but I have been to Preikestolen before for example, which is in West Norway. West Norway is the place for fjord hiking. One of my goals for next year is to go hiking in north Norway though (Lofoten looks so beautiful!!) Around Oslo you can go on day hikes and it's not far from the city. I will make more videos about that this year as I live in Oslo. 😊

Very nice video. Norway is 100% on my list of places I want to visit, Camp, and explore while making content.
Thank you! 😊 I hope you will be able to see Norway one day!
Hope we get to see your vlog on your hiking adventure with your new equipment/apparels.
Yes, I will make a vlog about my next hike! It will probably be published in the beginning of October. 😊
Have a look at a pump bag for your sleeping pad. It weighs almost nothing and you can use it as a dry bag for your cloths.
Thank you! I will check it out! 😊
Wool is amaazing, and def your best friend on a hike ❤ Also I would absoluteky go for a self inflating sleeping mat! Good luck 😊😊
I agree!🧣thank you I just ordered a self inflating mat. 😍

@@linnyinoslodefinitely! Have fun on your hiking/backpacking trip! Getting out there, into nature, will truly be the best teacher.
