  • This live video was shot at the iconic Portland, OR rock club Satyricon (Kurt and Courtney met here among other stories). Before the club closed its doors forever, The Dandy Warhols (who played at the club during their formative years) performed a farewell show featuring material from their first two albums with their original drummer Eric Hedford. There were only 240 tickets sold for the show. The band has graciously allowed me to post BE IN and I'm pleased to share it with you. WATCH IN HD IF YOU HAVE A GOOD CONNECTION.

    Awesome tune. Saw them for the 1st time about a month ago in Hamden CT and loved the show. Brought me closer to the band got sure. Will see them again next time they are in the area.

    First Dandy's song I ever heard, first track of the brilliant album "The Dandy Warhols Come Down". They often begin their shows with it--such a cool song....many thanks for posting this excellent live version!!

      Brilliant can be a good definition.. altought after listening to it after 20 years, i released Come Down is one of the finest [and underrated] records of its time

      They're an excellent band live. They mix up their songs, altering the tempo, mixing them in and out of each other so they flow. Each concert is unique.

      Can't think of a direct comparison at the moment - but you might enjoy Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Velvet Underground.

    Would you be willing to PM the whole show to people? There's literally no good quality full length dandy shows on youtube, and it'd be great to own a treasure like this, the audio is so well recorded!

    One of the best songs I've ever heard, by anyone!! I am new to TDW, but now, they are part of my everyday listening. I love their sound and hope they keep going another twenty-five years.

    I mean.. looking these poor minutes, hearing the fabulous sound and feeling the spiritual corpse coming in eccelsis there's nottoo surprize of the fear the Gods manifest vs the human thang and how that fear is translated in the slavery condition they took us..

    Was one of the first bands to play Satyricon in 84. George the owner was Portland's Bill Graham. Thanks to him lots of Portland bands got a venue they felt welcome in. Just ask the Warhols.

      that's eric hedford who had departed the band in the late 90s
