Win Malekko Pedals from The Dandy Warhols:
    www.premierguit...
PG’s John Bohlinger met with Peter G. Holmström, Zia McCabe, and Courtney Taylor-Taylor of The Dandy Warhols at Nashville’s Mercy Lounge. We quickly found out that Holmström runs with a rig of such complexity that any gear nerd would evny it, but bandmates Taylor and Zia go as minimal as they can.
Peter G. Holmström plays rare, beautiful guitars. The closest to “normal” is this 1972 Fender Telecaster Thinline with an orange/creamsicle sunburst. The tele is strung with Ernie Ball (.010-.052) strings.
Courtney Taylor-Taylor tours with not just one, but two, extremely rare and nearly identical 1967 Olympic White Fender Coronados. Both are strung up with Ernie Ball .010-.052 strings.
Zia McCabe spent most of her Dandy days playing bass parts on a keyboard but recently added this ’72 Fender Musicmaster Bass into her lineup. This short-scale bass features a Curtis Novak Musicmaster pickup in a lipstick case and is strung with Ernie Ball Slinky bass strings.

Having met Peter multiple times out and about in Portland, and even having him briefly visit in my home when I had an employee of the Dandy's living with me, I can tell you he is the most humble, unassuming person you'll ever meet. Just a sweetheart of a guy...amazing talent as well...

Until *this* moment I *never* knew the tone which leads and continues through “Good Morning” was not achieved with an effect but with a whammy bar, and *that’s* the sort of thing for which I love this series! Thanks John Bohlinger, thanks Dandy Warhols, thanks Premiere Guitar!!

I'm biased (see handle) but when I first heard that, I couldn't help thinking it was a Jag or Jazzmaster. It just seemed to have the sound of that whammy bar.

tremolo3 cuz it’s all down hill from there. They did do a live at KEXP set I thought was pretty cool, getting more back to their psych thing. But the early 2000 they seemed to be writing for this mass audience “alternative” fans, once alternative had become a mockery of itself. I take Anton Newcombe stance on these guys - just can’t help but mock their chessiness. They do seem to have matured a bit, tho, over the years. Obviously can’t slag off their success, but I think their name for the band says it all:

i know you are premier guitar, but some of us are multi instrumentalists and that is going on more and more, can you at least ask what models of synths she had? she was the player, and she demonstrated the sound, you guys always ignore the synths even when they are played by a guitarist or bassist.

On that second guitar, where he's going to take off the Bigsby, you might want to try a Stetsbar tremolo system. It's drop in, no styling or routing, you can get a Bigsby type arm for it, and even a locking nut with fine tuners if desired
