Proto’s Lucina is so insanely good man. Proto def belongs in the Marcina Hall of fame with the Melee Marths, Mikeneko, French Leon, Leo,etc. We are also hopefully getting Leo’s Joker vs Proto’s Lucina after 3 years lmao
Proto is literally the king of “why did y’all forget about these characters?” Like, for real: not to take away from Proto’s skill at all, cause he is absolutely cracked, but Lucina and Min Min are both easily at least top 20, yet everyone forgot about them and way underrates them.
It's just because they are not memorable (in smash). One is considered the most basic Swordie, and the other has both a and B do the same thing most of the time.
@@jeremyfaircloth2378 idk man, but like the she’s literally the only character that the best player in the world ever struggles with or complains about. I feel like she’s gotta be at least top 20 for that to happen. In my opinion optimized Min Min (a.k.a how Proto plays her) is at least top 15.
Cause most of them are top 10 in the world caliber lol proto, tea, Ken, acola, zackray whenever he comes back. Like they have a stacked region for damn sure
Kind of sucks as Japan had a benefit of Light, Tweek and Gluto not attending as it could’ve been more diverse but we had 3 Japan in Top 5 and 6 players in Top 16. Japan destroyed this tournament
Normally spectating a Sonic or Minmin in any set is not preferred for their boring playstyles, but I'm actually interested in this matchup cause both characters have to approach. Well Minmin doesn't want to, but because of Sonics speed, if her offense isn't airtight, she's gotta actually interact and I'm all for watching that. It's just so funny that these two paired up have to play the opposite of their normal campy playstyles
Where are all you dolts who said Proto fell off? That he wasn't top 5? I've said it before and I'll say it again him getting 17th and 13th at Japan majors is not a hit at his skill. Japan is the strongest region on average. The top players there trade wins over each other. So its not out of the question for top Japan players to lose to a player who isn't as good as them. Vs NA our top player washes everyone nearly most of the time. Even Spargo said Proto was top 5 at the Gimvitational. You guys dont know the game and its very clear. I can't wait for this winners finals. Win or Lose Proto is top 5.
@@inarencommander4663 Notice how i didnt specifically say Leo. I know he's the best. I said top players. Which to me means top 20 Ultimate players in NA. They wash lower level players more often then not. Yes upsets happen but they aren't common. While in Japan its more likely for someone like Proto or Tea or Ken to lose to a lesser known player. Cause Japan have better players on average. Look at their character diversity in their top 32. Hell i still remember year 1 a damn Little Mac got 9th at a Japan super major. That has never happened here.
@@inarencommander4663 They obviously meant that to be plural. Why continuing arguing the point after correcting it? And they’re right, Proto said the same thing in his victory interview.

Man I just remembered how much I missed watching Mikeneko’s Marth. So crispy.
Mikeneko? All I see is a pink haired cat girl vtuber lol
I think showing lucina would be better clickbait than the Min-min.

Idk if min min is top 20 but Proto is nuts

@@jeremyfaircloth2378 She's top 20 maybe even 15
Proto being a God at edge guarding really pushes the characters as well. But you're right people sleep on Lucina Minmin and Proto himself smh.

Could watch these two every weekend, oh wait... You kinda can - never gets old!

Hat off to Proto, his Lucina's speed is phenomenal, matching right on with Sonic's 👍👍👍
hats off to proto for amazing gameplay
it feels like my boy KEN has never found an answer for his lucina
Noticing alot of Japanese players in the 8.

Just because Leo dominates NA doesn't mean it's not as strong a region as Japan. It just means Leo is the best in the world.
