@HeavensMeat I was working on a soundtrack for all three Compact games, but got about midway through Compact 1 before I figured out that I was having recording issues. I've been putting it off ever since, but since you want it I'll consider trying again.
@masterchipi It isn't for the Gameboy. The Compact games were released on the Wonderswan/Wonderswan Color, handheld systems made by Bandai that were never released outside of Japan.
I must know, are the stories from Compact 1/2 the same as OG 1/2 on GBA? Are the GBA games a remake of the Wonderswan games? I know the PS2 OG is a remake of the GBA games, so... I'm so curious because I just started getting into SRW and I'm starting with the US-released GBA OGs. They don't seem directly connected to other SRW games.
No, here’s a full explanation: -Compact 1 is a standalone SRW story. There weren’t even any Banpresto Originals, and the last boss was Don Zauther (from Daitarn 3). -Compact 2 is where Kyousuke, Excellen, their machines and the Einst came from. It was divided into 3 parts. -The 3 Compact 2 games were later remade into a single game, Super Robot Wars Impact (which explains the game’s whopping amount of 101 stages). They also additionally added G Gundam and Nadesico into Impact, 2 shows that were not included in Compact 2, and along with that Alchimie was also introduced. -SRW OG1 somewhat follows the plot of The 2nd SRW for the first half, and SRW Alpha for the second half. Kyousuke-Excellen appeared in OG1 as some of the protagonists, however their Compact/Impact storyline was not yet touched upon. -SRW OG2 was a mishmash of the storylines from The 3rd SRW, SRW Advance and SRW Impact, along with some elements from SRW Alpha Gaiden and The 2nd SRW Alpha. It is in this game that the Einst appeared, and Kyousuke-Excellen’s Compact/Impact story was incorporated.
I was wondering why is it so much better than what I remembered lol you really did amazing job

the closest translation is "scrap metal" but "old iron giant" sounds better than "scrap metal giant" or "giant scrap metal" ahaha
I liked the weissritter's new name too.

the person who did this really cooked that day
Favorite character of the OGs, and favorite theme song. Even to this day, the Alteisen truly has Power.
I could waste ALL my ammo on one person all day to this,It sounds surpisingly awesome for it's format
Tears of molten steel T.T I love it!
awesome i didnt know alteisen was in the gb version
and the song rocks
great job bomber

Kyosuke is such a goddammit badass protagonist
Enemy: pisses off kyosuke
Kyosuke: so you have chosen death
Omai Wa Mou Shindeiru Kotetsu No Beowulf style.

Kyosuke is so cool.
Impact is an enhanced remake of Compact 2. Each of the three acts of Impact correspond to a Compact 2 game.

SWEET. Sounds badass in 8-bit-ness.
My anthem XD

The first rendition of Kyosuke's theme. Impact did help with the OG series, after all.
All of these comments are old. But they've got power, or rather, are still just as relevant as the Grungust in SRW V.
i hope they bring back Gespenst and its MK-II back, not the custom one tho. original just like Grungust, really love those guys lol
OG getting the original Grungust back would be awesome too. Unfortunately, doubt it's going to see the old, SRW 4 Gespenst ever again.
@@TheShinyFeraligatr And 1 year later, boom, OG Black Gespenst from 4 in SRW T.
@@eeyuup Banpresto saw our comments, clearly.
@@TheShinyFeraligatr Yeah, the Upgraded Grungust looks like a Grungust with random shit put on to make it ugly.
I would buy tons of ice cream from a salesman that had this a his theme
Alt in Part 1, Riese in Part 3.
I would like to see a Kyosuke vs Beowulf(SM) fight it would be fricking awesome
So very true. *thumbs up* +1
Like parents like daughters.
So.. does the children of the wolf have any official artwork as of yet?
Obligatory FIRST view, etc, but anyway, it sounds good even in old formats.
