Very good explanation of the procedures. But I would be curious what specifically is updated from version to version before deciding if it's worth going thru all these steps? I wish Yaesu would just have a flash drive available for purchase to eliminate a possible missed step and streamline the updating process. Either way, a good resource to have in case I ever decide to do this 👍 73

Please check your radio version. You may not need this update.

I would recommend not doing it. If it bricks the radio there is no going back. If it aint broke leave it alone

I did not notice any significant difference. I did this because Yaesu recommended to do it on their FT-891. 73 - VA3BHY
