Looks like this free version of the game got scrapped and was replaced with the regular gameplay progression. Frankly I'm glad because it looked like the lives, skins and bombs would of been monetized. Sadly the paid one got removed from the stores (apk can still be found on other sites though)

With its overall brilliant gameplay improvements in terms of stupendous graphics and delightful sonics including the mesmerising uplifting techno music and not to mention its 100 percent fast machine code execution, the player can be guaranteed a most pleasant gameplay experience. The game's appealing curved-like mazes, which upon game menu perusal, many other themed mazes with their distinctive visual layouts and respective colour decor and graphic style may be selected from, provided the player has garnered the necessary previlige in doing so.
The game's playing field contain cute colourful little ghosts scampering around the maze with the equally cute yellow protagonist, Pac-Man. Gamers may once again try to foil the little ghosts from engulfing our hero, the lovable Pac Man. The game contains ample customization features ranging from skill level selection and choice of musical scores to the appearance of the game's avatar. A rather fun game to reminisce one's long-lost youth of decades past. In my case I am still young and simply adore PAC-MAN. Younger children will undoubtedly appreciate a time where arcade games were less violent and still challenging.
The Pac-Man CE DX game is beautifully rendered with convincingly immersive graphics to propel the player into the two-dimensional environment fantasy world employing breathtaking colourful elevated perspective views. The graphics are exquisitely drawn with mottled detail to capture the realism to effectively convince the player that they are actually within a maze realm of precarious winding corridors and mischievous colourful cute ghosts with nearby power-ups to collect and sleeping ghosts to avoid. The action is fast and furious.
The accompanying sonics as well as the unbelievable uplifting techno music during gameplay certainly add to its addictive qualities. A very aspiring game to while away the hours of one's leisure time. Pac Man has been in the hearts of older players for well over thirty years and in this incarnation continues to amuse and engage the current playing audiences, especially younger players like myself. We love Pac Man, he is so cute and adorable. Play this superb adaptation to once again relive one of the best conceived video games ever created. 🤗

@@basicallyachannel. Sir, I am very pleased that you have enjoyed my rather lengthy but necessary comment on the wonderful Pac-Man Championship Edition video game. In fact, the posted one was the concise version, as my elders advised me emphatically against posting my comment in its entirety, as doing so could probably upset the RUclips organisation as well as alerting someone calling an ambulance in waiting to whisk me away to the local psych ward for a dose or two of electro-convulsive therapy to snap me out of my mental delirium as a means to jolt me back to reality. Of course, I disagree with their sentiments.
I am a young person whom attends Junior High School with my lovely and dearest class companion, Peter. He and I are honour students and fond of each other where we usually sit together at school assisting each other with our homework unless the teacher decides to separate us for some reason unbeknownst to us where she has us sitting at opposite ends of the classroom. This unexpected arrangement causes Peter and I anguish of sorts where from time to time I am compelled to turn around and wave at Peter with a smile to reassure him that despite being forced apart that I am still thinking of him.
I suspect that our teacher may believe that we could be holding hands under the desk or perhaps engaged in something more obscene whilst she hears giggling from our quarters. If she does then she is grossly mistaken, as we would never do that, not in a classroom setting anyway, there are other more discreet places for such activities.
Furthermore, we would not engage in such behaviour to attract the unwelcome attention of other students. Besides, we are examplary students who are highly regarded and respected throughout the school due to our exceptional academic skills.
Peter is outstanding in maths where he often helps me with algebra and other areas I need assistance with whereas I am more of a wordsmith inclined to write fanciful short stories as well as elucidating Peter on the finer points of affective written communication. In short, Peter and I are gifted students with many accolades to our name. However, the true gift as I have come to realise is having Peter as not only as a dear companion but as a true and valuable part of my life.
As a token of our endearing friendship, Peter has laminated a credit card sized photo of himself for me to keep in my wallet. In appreciation, I have returned the compliment by doing the same. 😊

if you are playing pac man championship edition on ps3 or like ps4 or some other console here is a tip... so wait until a bunch of ghost and don't eat any power pellets so when a bunch of ghost are chasing you, you can eat a power pellet then eat all the ghost that are chasing u than BOOM! You have so many points. keep repeating and eat fruit and other things and little dot points and repeat every time until times up. You can thank me later...

Yeah i think so. Regular Championship Edition on phones is slower too, and the Championship mode has a 3 minute time limit.
