Oh Shiloh. . how I miss you. We had so much fun making this video with her to help promote awareness about dropping off dogs at shelters.

sure was! after watching this video i feel like you must have while doing this video, i cannot understand if you are conveying don't take your dog to the shelter, which going to the shelter represents, from the dog's point of view he asks what did i do to deserve this, or is another way to pay tribute to shiloh please relieve my achin' heart

I felt like she was part of my family
I had to surrender my little chihuahua mix when I became homeless. She had so many medical problems she'd been born with and I just didn't have the resources to help her. I contacted a rescue rather than a shelter and I had a friend drive me up so I could say goodbye properly. I miss her everyday but I know she's safe. Safer than she would have been if I'd kept her on the streets.. She was adopted just weeks after I gave her up. I know first hand that sometimes you just don't have a choice! but honestly I couldn't see walking away and not even leaving her tags. I gave the rescue everything, every old vet paper and even the number of the person who I originally got her from. because of my situation they waved the fee they usually charge. How could you just leave and not know?? I must have called every time I was near a phone to make sure she was okay and to see if she had a new family yet.
+Green Lace You did the right thing. *Hugs* You would be surprised how many people just leave them there . . . and don't care like you did.
I am so happy that you did the right decision. It is so hard to give up a pet especially if you are with them for years. I admire you for doing that..
If you love somebody you might have to let them go

Posted to my Twitter. When the video got to the part where the "owner" (Jamie) just left Shiloh (who did a great job playing the part) at the shelter door, I said out loud in sadness and disbelief, "Do people really DO that??" but of course, some do. Just horrifying. What a sad, cruel,unthinking, unfeeling thing to do. Think how your actions affect the living, breathing creatures around you, no matter how many legs they have or how much hair on their bodies. Family means commitment.
We adopted a husky mix named Bradley from the shelter last May(2013) after we lost our girl Macy who was 8 years old and a Doberman/GSD mix. I started researching husky dogs and found your channel. I have come to feel like you and your girls are part of my family. If only the message would be read by people who BUY dogs. ADOPT DON'T BUY!!!! RIP Shiloh girl-you are missed.

I was just going thro older posts on GTTSD's&discovered U'r cover of Goyte,against dog abandonment. Just when I thought I couldn't love U guys anymore!💕.It is SUCH an important message.It's just SO incredibly unfathomable to me that anyone could ever do this to their beloved furry best friend.It made me SO sad thinking of all those loyal, beautiful,loving dogs&cats, lonely in shelters,just waiting for love to rescue them&take them to their happy,loving forever homes.But made me happy to see Sweet beautiful Shiloe girl,she was such a good girl in the video.I miss seeing her.Well done guys&your voice sounds great Jess.Good job guys💕

I just adopted a cat about 3 weeks ago. We didn't want to, but knew a life in the shelter was not a good idea for this little guy. The previous owner is a friend of mine and she was wanting to live with her boyfriend and his roommate would not allow the cat. Her next step if we did not take him, was to take him to the shelter. It was a choice that took a few hours for me and my husband to talk about since we already had 2 cats, and a puppy, but I am glad we did. I did not want him to feel like that.
this reminds me of my new shelter dog, sometimes I believes he misses his old owner and the guy at the shelter who cried when he left because he knew he found him a good family.
This video breaks my heart. I couldn't ever work or volunteer in a shelter I'd want to take them all home for one thing lol and the excuses people would give to abandon their pets would infuriate me, I would get fired lol. This is a good video though to show the realness of shelters and what people do to their animals.
i shed a tear for all those in shelters - i just can't understand what will make someone get rid of their best friend like that.

Oh he looks just like my Skylark did. Lost him to cancer October 2012. Still miss my best friend. Have had 2 huskies, got both from the humane society. Best dogs ever.
I couldn't watch all of it, because it made me cry. I have 4 dogs and 2 cats, all are either from a shelter or were headed to a shelter when we stepped in. As a child, we had to take some pets to the shelter and I cried for days, I hated having to do that, so as an adult I vowed that never would never happen. So far I have been able to keep that vow.

Some people get animals and dont realize how much work it takes to own a pet. A lot of people dont do research first or learn anything about the breed they are buying. I found an emaciated 4 month old dog at River Rock casino, I took him home, took him to the vet, got him neutered and got him on whatever mets the doctor prescribed him. After 4 months of owning him I had to give him up, there wasn't anything i could do about it.

i just saw this bc i started watching you, and let me tell i cant tell you how amazing you are. One one our neighbors left their cat because they couldn't taje care of it but it was left in the wild with deer and all. My neighbors left milk out for it. anyways God bless for all of your love.

Dont undurstand some horrible people in this world that can and have actually done that!! I love your dogs soo much and the others in the shelter. My dog is adopted after previous owners abandoned her and left a note "dont want her", soo we brought her back home and she is honestl beautifull! :) im soo happy we found her and she is now in a good home! :) x
