4:40 Was just perfect. "Übermächtig, Überflüssig, ..." And showing the Maus. Just perfect. The Maus really was übermächtig (overpowered) but also überflüssig (superfluous).

But yeah, they were really damn good at the propaganda game. One could almost say they invented it.
@@olafgurke4699 this is another thing, that uniform was tight as hell, and now we can never put another armed forces in anything too similar because obviously it will evoke not very pleasant feelings in most decent folks, for good reason.
@@MegaDoom101 Indeed. Although, modern combat camo uniforms are also pretty cool. And more suited for combat.
Unless you're like one African head of state who got jungle camo for his troops simply because he thought it looked best.

why does everyone see germany for doing war? we didn't do this all the time you know..... but many times... and we where ambitious...............
Come on Germany ceased to wage war since 1945 but before that it was all they were doing.

We were not even allowed how others may call us.
If polish person were ignorant about english and would start a conversation about a state called nemsky the english person would not know that the polish person were talking about germany, if he would be ingnorant about the polish language.
The polish and the english person would get confused if a frensh or spanish person would like to talk about the same country.

@@karionwhite2367 Well of course German culture and history is much more than just war, I know it very well. But from the outside , people view Germany as a warrior nation at least Germany in the past.

very good also in this video you see clips for Izetta the last witch that german did it same way support from bombers and the stuka dive bombers , when they took over most europe in ww2.

@@leafboy3967 I think there's a lot of stories and rumors about the Nazis being into occult and pagan stuff (returning to Germanic roots). German forests were said to be full of witches and demons (and still many landmarks have names like "Hexenplatz" or "Teufelsbrücke")

I must say I love the video and the editing but I can't shake the feeling that this cover sounds wrong like it doesn't have the right emotion while singing.
Because the song is about how torn he feels about Germany. It's a sad song by someone who despises the past of his country.

Okay rammstein doesn't really have the right tone for a comedy anime, I get it.

I think this video is in stark contrast to what the music is about. For people that are not german native speakers it's probably easy to misunderstand, but the song is a critique on the past of germany and nationalism (especially germanys role in the world wars). So seeing the song used for such an AMV is in my view pretty distateful, but I'll just assume you misunderstood the song and made an honest mistake.
The video itself without the music is pretty good tho, one can see there was a lot of work involved.

@@opside231 But when prussia unified Germany they did it so mainly by war. Namely the silesian war, the seven years war, the partitions of Poland, the napoleonic wars, the second Schleswig war, the austro-prussian war AND franco-prussian War. And since Germany was born out of prussia It carried it's doctrine of militarism. Germany only stopped having a warmonger mindset after WW2 tore everything apart and the allies made sure to erase prussian military doctrine.
Post WW2 Germans have had every single strip of identity pulled from them and are so demoralized now that they can't even think of preserving their country without self-flagellating. Rammstein putting this song out is just another nail in the coffin of Germany's future.
I guess you could interpret the video as a demonstration of what we did wrong. But yeah I would say you're right.

Fun fact. Japan was recovering from the atom bombs when it was discovered that Germany had concentration camps and death camps and committed unspeakably barbaric experiments on the inmates. Edit: the maus close to the end reminded me of girls und panzer. We need sports like that. America has the space. We have the tech. We have the tanks. We have the ammo. We have the stupidity required to test it.

@@IlIWarGIlI They were doing stuff just as bad though, Unit 731 is a good example where they would torture and experiment on POWs in brutal ways for "science". They were also known for committing atrocities on many civilians, Philippines and China are good examples, where they were known to rape and murder for fun. Japan didn't sign the Geneva convention and during ww2 you could argue they went out of their way to prove they wouldn't follow it. Japanese POW camps were on par and sometimes worse then many concentration camps. Unfortunately many seem not to know this because after the war ended the US government tried to keep it secret, wanting to make japan an ally against communist nations. Also many of their atrocities were ignored and few people were tried as war criminals, like 731 who faced no consequences after sharing their research with the US.

@@fraskf6765 Mh gab einige gute Modelle, die auch in Kampfberichten sehr gut ab schnitten, persönlich mag ich ja den Stug 3 Ausführung G mit den Seitenschürzen ja sehr und den Jagt Panther, sehr Beweglich und die 8,8 Zimmer so ziemlich alles weg, was der Feind so hat^^
