(Received: 14 December 2018 - Accepted: 21 January 2019 - Published: 23 January 2019) An Evaluation of the Demineralizing Effects of Various Acidic Solutions. (Received: 29 July 2021 - Accepted: 31 August 2021 - Published: 6 September 2021) Conclusions: The present study aimed to compare six different acidic solutions with respect to enamel demineralization. These acidic solutions were in liquid form (lactic acid, orthophosphoric acid; formic acid; and an acid solution that contains calcium chloride, sodium phosphate and acetic acid) and gel form (hydrochloric acid and orthophosphoric acid). The results of this in vitro research showed that acids in liquid state can penetrate the dental structures and demineralize them to a deeper extent than the gels. Orthophosphoric acid solution was the most efficient in dissolving the enamel, while the acetic acid solution affected only the superficial part of the enamel. The SEM aspects of etched teeth presented different types of enamel and dentine demineralization depending on the acidic solution used. Radio translucency was not observed, as the acids eroded the surface of the enamel completely. The present study could contribute to an initial understanding of enamel demineralization and the effect of acid erosion on HAP crystals. However, more research should be performed to further investigate the effects of different concentrations of acids on dental structures.

Probably composite is best bro....Cause of its esthetics....And one can go for GIC for a less esthetic or pedo restoration....Also GIC is cost Efficient than composite
Yes please answer the difference between primer and etchchants. Dumb question but I have no light here I'm doing this myself and want to know how I can do a dental bond with without a light here I have dental Denton enamel bonding primer, prime dent light activated bonding resin I answered my question there I guess that won't work without a light cure is that right? Ma'am your videos are really helpful and interesting to watch... Please upload part 2 soon...
thank you very useful, almost done with my exams needed some more depth in my rationale for the use of EPB thanks again
I was looking for your videos and finally found it…. 💕
Hi Dr. thank you for the detailed video regarding dentin bondings, hopefully we can see the part 2 with the comparison of enamel and dentin bonding.
Thank you so much dr , this vid helped me so much in understanding the concept
If you will etch dentin for 30-60 seconds then collagen collapse will happen which will weaken the bond. 15-20 sec etching great for dentin.
U explain the topics in very simplified way dr very nice and helpful videos
Can you please share the link of generations of bonding agents !

Very useful and simply put ma'am.when when do you share classification and generation video?
Hi
Is there a way to make sure that my veneer prep. Is all in enamel and no dentine parts are exposed ?
Use depth guaging bur.

How about the part2?? Talking about generation of dentin.

Resin tag is formed by the bonding agent, that is hydrophilic

there will be no micromechanical bonding to dentin.
