I think "floaty" would be the word to describe this strange feeling of swinging the TKFC. I used to own one of this. It's a fast frame (for a head heavy one), but this floaty feeling makes the racket feel like it swings slower than it actually is. Almost like there's too much...air inside the frame, instead of it being dense and solid.
Agreed. We discussed this with someone else on the YT channel and they used the word "pingy". It's been a while since we recorded this one so we do have similar opinions to yours. That lack of solid feel that you get from the likes of Yonex and Li Ning is how we describe it, like you said, almost like the racket is hollow.
I have the TKF (after watching her win sitting 5 rows away at the All England in 2018) and the TKF-C. The Claw version is quite poor on power but this white version is different, "enhanced" on every aspect. The balance point is shifted while remains head heavy. Just right.
As this is my favourite racket (not just becuz of the aesthetics), I do feel that I can generate a hell lot of power and is actually the most powerful racket I have tried
You are correct in saying that Victor rackets feel different to YY or LN. This would have affected the ratings. Also you strung the racket with YY 2 strings pattern which is a string less then Victor's recommendation of 1 string pattern. I have been using this racket since launch (Victor VE50 professional machine / VBS-63 strung at 27lbs / 1 string Victor recommended pattern) and score it 40.5 for singles play. Please restring Victor rackets the way that's recommended and review again after playing for a week. Delay the timing a little.
@@Volantbadminton Understood. I just think it might be a little unfair to Victor as it may put viewers off from buying their products (I don't work for them). No other concerns. It's unfortunate that we are not in the same location, otherwise I can lend you my rackets for a week or so. They do take time to get used to, not as players friendly as YY (I used to work in a YY shop).
There is a comment on the Ryuga video that we left regarding it. Here's a snippet "we feel that Yonex and Li Ning have a much more solid feel than Victor and the feeling on contact kind of just feels like it's missing on Victor compared to the other two"
@@Volantbadminton 100% agreed, my first hits with Victor were all mistimed and I thought they were rubbish. None of my friends like it as they are used to YY. Try delay the swing a little and snap the wrist a bit more. I used to play with YY Armortec 900T (brilliant racket) followed by LN, wouldn't go back to either now.

I started playing badminton/taking badminton lessons less than a year ago, and had been using a Victor Hypernano X900. Today was the first time I tried using the Thruster F Claw (at 26 lbs of tension, vs 24 lbs on my Hypernano), and enjoyed using it quite a bit. It was stiffer and definitely had more heft than the Hypernano, but this also seemed to give me better control over my shots. Though who knows, maybe I'm also getting the TTY placebo affect 😅
Hey Nalzei, We asked Jasmine Wong (who's in this video) to do an objective review on it because others have asked for an independent review. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/Qqu6EUv4Po8/видео.html If you think that you'll still like us to do a review on it ourselves, let us know! Some people might think that we'll be biased with our ratings though! Also, it's right in the middle of flexible and stiff - so is of a 'moderate stiffness/flexibility'. We tend to prefer these kinds of rackets because if it's too stiff, we feel that the contact with the shuttle is very hard - and we prefer a softer feel. Too flexible means that the racket head lags behind the handle too much which can cause some timing issues. So that's why we like the best of both worlds - right in the middle :)
Hey Hello World, haha, as per our reply to Nalzei, would it be useful for us to do one even though it's our brand? There's an independent review by Jasmine Wong that could be useful too! Haha, we love the swooish sound too! "Jeff-nry" - maybe we should call ourselves that hahahaha
@@Volantbadminton Yes most definitely please do a review on it!! We all trust that the Volant rating system is unbiased! Give us the Jeff-nry rating please!
Hard for us to say as we haven't played with the Victor Thrust F or the officially reviewed the Z Strike. The feeling between Victor and Yonex is different so depending on your preferences, you may or may not welcome a more solid feeling that you would get with the 100ZZ.
It's difficult to say exactly one racket because as you develop as a badminton player, you tend to like certain things in a racket. Perhaps you can try something that's even-balanced as it is a bit more versatile in nature, then when you develop your skills and feeling/touch, you can try other types. As Nicholas Ng has said, we do have the Rogue S1 which is even-balanced and we did make it exactly for this reason - to be an all-rounder racket that's not going to blow your budget like some of the high-end rackets. That way, if you decide you want a head heavy or head light racket, you can change without regretting paying an arm and a leg for something else. If you'd like to get more info on it, please let us know! It's not just about selling our racket - we do want to give everyone the information to make their own choices. The fact that more and more badminton players are getting value from our videos is more important to us, and that we're celebrating our awesome sport!!!!
