The cruise ships in Galveston are one of the main reasons. They dump their sewage a few miles from the shore. And it’s legal. Smh

Stop pumping sewage into the water in the first place!

I'm guessing a lot of it is because of the Gulf current which rotates counterclockwise, meaning everything that flows out of the Mississippi River settles on Texas beaches. East of that river mouth you see pristine white sand beaches, everything west of it the beaches are stained brown.

But you have to ask yourself..."Does fecal matter?"

Full of human crap in Galveston! Been this way ever since I was a child back in the 70's. The reporter could have easily researched much of the crap comes from the ships, dumping there sewage tanks before entering the ship channel! Also there is raw sewage emanating from corporations near the ship channel!

Everything flows back up and then down the Texas coast, from the Mississippi. Then you add the effluent from Houston to Galveston, and you make a toxic soup

All sewer water is suppose to be treated. So how is it getting in the water? Are ships dumping on their way into ports? Or is it cities?

We where wade fishing in San Luis pass by the grass line and my brother in law saw a turd float by. I have noticed an influx of Central American people living out of their vehicles and spending most of the scorching day in the water, cooking up whatever they catch not regarding size limits and leaving behind piles of trash. On top of the fact that there are not enough port a potties or public bathrooms near by im certain people just poo in the water.

Here recently I witnessed one driving through that area stop, get out of its truck, drop trou, squat down facing the vehicle holding on to the rear tire and drop a duece, then hop back into its truck without bothering to wipe and drive off. They definitely aren’t sending their best and brightest…
