Thanks for the video! Some good info in the video and the comments! Do NOT exceed the clearance specified for the PTO clutch adjustment. More is not better! I added a couple of extra turns and it was too much. PTO now disengages before the transmission. So... I get to re-adjust the PTO clutch. I now know the extremes in both directions! ( did go thru below the steering box)

You can pull the tank and steering gear box takes 20 mins, just few bolts, and there is a big whole under gearbox to adjust the clutch at. No need to slit the whole tractor.

Can you do that to 6600

Pull the steering box off, and you can get at the clutch adjustments. Manual says you have to take the fuel tank off, but you only need to remove the bolts that connect the tank to the steering box, then twist it sideways and pull it out from under the tank.

Going to try this without removing tank! Can do with power steering?

Does anyone know of a good substitute for a NDA 7502-1 gauging block for a 1956 Ford 660 double clutch? Any measurements / tips / tricks would be appreciated. Thank you

A #55 drill bit has a diameter of .052" right in the middle of the .050" to .054" spec.

Adjustable parallels and a set of micrometers and you won’t need factory gaging blocks again.
Or get yourself a set of class z gauge blocks. Just a cheap set will still be ground within. A couple tenths.

so did adjusting it work? My ford 3000 does the same thing. Can't engage the pto with tractor running. I have to shut it off engage pto then restart tractor.

My tractor does the same, without a load, I can engage the PTO with the clutch but with a load, bushhog, the gear grinds. I also have to shut the engine off to engage the PTO.

I have a ford 4000.. In low range when I let the clutch out the tractor lags to move forward.. Now in high range.. It will barely move forward at all now.. What is the problem? Clutch?

I got a 3000 with transmission oil coming from a freeze plug or something. It is filling up the Bell house around the clutch. Oil was running out the starter when I tried to crank the tractor. How can I fix the plug? Thanks

I believe there is a seal between transmission and housing, my guess

My 3000 can engage the pto without the clutch and pushing in the clutch won’t disengage the pto
