A cast-iron skillet? Doesn't ALS present with an overload of iron in the spine?
Biomedical Reports: Further studies have demonstrated the following: A disorder of iron homeostasis exists in ALS (13-17); there is *increased iron in the spinal cord* of patients with ALS (18,19); the iron level in the cerebrospinal fluid of patients with ALS was higher than in control subjects (20,21); and serum ferritin levels were increased in patients with ALS (22-26)
