This piano is part of the public piano foundation "Playing outside" (in Dutch: Buiten spelen). It was located at the Railway station of Nijmegen, the Netherlands, from December 2014 to April 2015 (after which other beautiful pianos were installed, as you can see on the Facebook page and many videos, like this one • Rush hour ragtime on p... ).

More cities should install public pianos. As you can see people like it and pianists usually playing for themselves in their room get a chance to share their art.
Word! Especially permanent pianos at travel (train/plane/bus) stations, like the one in this video. We have pianos in several other train stations (check out our playlist to see all the pianos and locations: ruclips.net/p/PLqMWm8vSPYP91AsCsPVJJijSUuxwO-zcm ) and you can also find similar initiatives in other countries, like France and England. Projects with temporary public pianos are even more common, check out www.streetpianos.com for the many cities you can find tens of pianos all around town, as well as Sing for hope in New York, Spiel mich in Germany, 123-piano in Belgium (Ghent), My Urban piano in Luxemburg and many more that I am not even aware of.

River flows in you is the best paino riff ever to me.
I've always lived in a small town and had never really visited a big city, so I had never seen a public piano. Last winter I had the chance to visit NYC and in one of the stations I had heard someone playing The Entertainer in the distance. As someone who plays the piano (badly) and loves hearing others play, it made me so happy!
I watched this video 2 years ago, and now I still watch it and also get the same emotion like the first time I watched 💓
whenever i closed my eyes and heard you playing canon in d, i remember a moment when i and my old friend used to play together.

I use to imagine this guy as a piano god before, since i could never imagine anyone to be as good as him, but after I started playing the piano a few years I eventually caught up to being able to play River Flows in You and many more songs, and noticed how easy it is, not saying he is not good, just trying to express that learning the piano may be easier than many people think, so dont give up trying to learn! :)

both of the songs are my favourite songs,love the the transition. Pachelbel canon is the reason i started to learn piano, and river flows in you is the 2nd song that i learned. It woud be nice to know this man more, i've been dying to know his name, even though he sounds rushing but still i cannot play as good as he is, he looks cool.

You are right, the piano is really out of tune, 3 or 4 keys were broken and it was a very cold day. I remember that my hands were frozen. I improvised tho xD. Although we replaced this piano for a new one and it sounds 100 times better now. Normally i play it expressively, with feelings when i'm playing at home !
