It was this performance right here that made me love Taylor Swift...she was so comfortable on that stage singing a song that belongs to the king of Country music, I would think it would have had to of been nerve racking yet she doesn't seem nervous at all. And George looks at her like he is so proud of her, he always does. That was the day I decided to actually listen to some of her music and now I just adore her. Taylor's love for what she does makes me love what she does too.
People knock her music all the time. IMHO she is one of the few recent artists that actually sings from the heart. Singing from the heart, and that alone, is what defines the good country music. The music that is produced this way has substance. If Taylor Swift did one thing she stuck to her guns and sang from the heart (just like George Strait). I agree with your perception of how he looked at her. Definitely proud.

I believe that music is a very personal thing for each of us though, some people don't care for her style of music and that in itself is fine, we all have our own taste for what we like and don't like. I've never been a fan of country music, I have never even heard of George strait, As a heavy rock fan i used to scoff at music such as this, but there is no denying Taylor swifts talent and George straits amazing lyrics, this song has touched me and they both have a new fan. I have no doubt this young lady is creating many more new country fans. I'm happy for all her success, she has truly earned it. she has sparked new life into country music.
