Your love of this pistol--and appreciation for it's history--make you seem older than you are. This pistol was developed from the French 1935A, the French side arm of WW2 (among quite a few others). The 210 might be the most important and well-built pistol to ever come out of Europe. It is certainly the choice of many competition shooters going back 60 years. It is built with tolerances that parallel a transmission. And I have never owned a pistol that feels as well-constructed. Cool video and info.
they could really compete with the CZs and 2011s if they made a double stack -- great trigger, accurate, and I remember seeing that the P210 had a lower bore axis than both the CZ and 2011
@Jerrol Hale Very True But if you shop around you can find a CZ75 SAO for sale. They have a single action only trigger, nice ambidextrous safeties and the slide is serrated like a CZ85. CZ SP01, TRP Operator full rail, P226 Stainless steel some of my favorite pistols to shoot. I’m limited in my selection being in California.
I'm in the minority but I have no problem with this guns capacity. Most accurate Military sidearm ever produced and can't wait for the carry model. Do I want more capacity? Of course I do but with how finely machined even this new model is I find it unlikely that sig could figure out how to make it into a double stack 4 less than 2k and they wouldn't sell enough to justify it if they did. The vast majority of pistol owners are people in the Glock 19 and CZ p10c range. everyone cried about how expensive the vp9 was even though it was arguably a top-three pistol for over 10 years.
The model you have is the P210A Standard- not the Target. The Target has the front serrations, Adjustable Rear and Fiber Optic Front and Target Grips. Armory Craft is making G10, Wood and Aluminum Grips along with Low-Profile Basepads and a Red Dot Adapter that doesn’t require screw tapping.

@ The slide/frame fit on the 210 is really tight. It just takes a while for it to loosen up. After that it runs great on any ammo I have used(mostly reloads).
Something I noticed when handling the P210 at the gun store is that you have to make sure the slide is fully into battery. A couple of times when I was dry firing the gun, the slide would literally stop 1mm before being fully in battery and giving me a dead trigger. It looks like these things need a little bit if a break in period.
That's not a break in issue. These are made to give incredibly tight lockup and that final locking is part of the design. You cannot walk the slide home. It needs full force of spring and weight of slide to create proper lockup.
Beautiful pistol. I was looking at one yesterday at the gun shop. Waiting for the carry version actually. The ricochet at 7:08 was impressive... Pretty impressive shooting with those wind conditions. Thanks for the video!

Enjoyed the review. Nice pistol, but if I wanted a SA 9mm service pistol with a thumb safety it would be a double-stack S&W M&P9 M2.0, not the far more expensive single-stack P210 that cannot readily be fitted with an RDS.
I was able to shoot one that cost a thousand dollars. The first couple of shots didn't go that well because there is a marked difference in handling and the grip. I noticed it doesn't have the ability for a off side thumb safety. The thumb safety doesn't have a top flat surface and it's troughed for some reason with a distinctive arch. The trigger is amazing and has no need for improvement. The eight round magazine with one in the chamber is more enough. The long barrel gives the impression there is more muzzle flip than there is. Every bit of this makes you think of fine machinery. The weight wasn't noticeable. I forgot the range but the sights were perfect. The magazines were loaded by hand with no problems. There were no failures.
The P-210 is not being marketed to "make waves". These pistols exist for reasons far more historic... than your personal needs. You want a double stack - go get a CZ. They are more the modern rendition of this design, and very well done they are.
I just bought one of these the standard version. While it's a nice pistol there is absolutely nothing available as far as aftermarket and even calling Sig to get a spare or replacement parts is pretty much impossible. If you need something even like a small spring it appears that you're going to have to pack it up and ship it back to the factory to have them put this in for you. Not sure why you can buy just about every other part from them for other models. Just looking at it though if you shoot it a lot you're going to be needing a Springs and things like that and good luck getting them. Make an expensive pistol like that and don't really have any support for it other than returning it to the factory for maintenance
This has been the service pistol since1949 with the designatio P / 49 in Denmark´ s armed forces. It has also seen service in BGS, the Western German Border Police before they were allowed to carry German produced arms; aftermath of WW ll. The pistol is very reliable and accurate, although considered a bit outdated by wondernines and shooting yoghurt cups.
Can't believe you would want that pistol with a polymer or aluminum frame. While I accept my Glocks with a polymer frame I wouldn't want a P210 with a polymer frame free of charge! Also, the USA version will never come close to the craftsmanship of the original Swiss model.
You should buy one of the older original P210s or P49s! The one made by the Swiss gun makers! It feels twice as good as the new ones made in Germany or the US and is way more accurate! And you can find them for around $3500 or so today. I shot a friend's P49 with the wood grips and I wanted to grab the gun and run away with it!
Really wanted to get this gun years ago, to me Sig started remaking it a little too late. Now with all those double stack 2011 STI "John Wick" style guns I don't think so.
that gun should have bigger trigger guard for gloved hands and at lest 8 rounds of 10mm.or 357sig or 40s&w.that would be great care gun.with or with out picatinny rail.
Stating that this is a competition gun and then complaining about capacity??? Numerous reviews on YT always complaining about capacity. "This CZ TSO shoots great....but I would really give it a better review if it took 30 round Glock mags, it really lacks capacity at only 20. For that I can only rate it a 7.5." "This Korth revolver can't hang with my STI 2011 unfortunately due to capacity. Way too many reloads to make it through a stage." This is my number uno channel for gun reviews, but perhaps focus a bit more on the 2 fails in the session. Just my $.02 and still a huge fan of this channel
Thanks for doing this vid! I just Dm’d you on IG the other day to see what you thought about this and you already were making the video lol will definitely patreon 👍🏼
Know it is not a pragmatic choice, but still really, really want one. Given the build quality & cost of production, I don't think it is over priced. Guessing lower profit margin than on their 320 or 365 series. Place for practical & a place for dream firearms. Like they kept it single stack. However, why only two magazines? Should come w/ four or five.
Appreciate the history and the clear manufacturing quality here, but given all the options on the market today, why would someone buy this gun? What purpose does it serve with such a limited capacity? Any gun is better than none, but given what you could have bought for that price?

I really like her points of view on guns, not only because her views are always very interesting but also because she is a very different type of shooter from you and that's adds a great extra dimension to your videos...thank you to both of you for your videos...
For outdoors I find that the iron sights on any gun are more accurate for me if I blacken the 3 white dots or any white outline etc.
I’m looking forward to the P210 Carry.
They need to apply p365 magazine technology onto this one.
Mr. Outlaw, Hello from the communist state of NJ. I've been a shooter for almost 40 years and really enjoy and appreciate your video posts. Always interesting, informative and entertaining. Thank You. Please keep 'em coming. Hope You and Yours are all happy & healthy and stay that way. God bless.
nice gun! waiting for DWX compact review, the CZ website says they have it in stock. when can we expect a hands-on video from you?
The slide whistle at 7:09 was a nice touch 😂😂😂
HopSonatra Productions 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ someone doesn’t shoot often
I want one of the Swiss versions of these.
Also, the USA version will never come close to the craftsmanship of the original Swiss model.
for carry? Obviously it would be a weight advantage
@@HonestOutlawReviewstrue, i admit. but would you trust modern SIG to deliver a decent product? i dont.
I have both. I shoot the modern one slightly better but I think only because it has fiberoptic sights.
Traded my P210 target for my Shadow 2. Like it better and twice the rounds.
Just bought the target model... lets see of the internet shoots as well with it as I have been able to.
"Maybe like your head..." Your wife is cool!!
Really wanted to get this gun years ago, to me Sig started remaking it a little too late. Now with all those double stack 2011 STI "John Wick" style guns I don't think so.
Excellent video! Here in europe i see often Sig sauer X5 Supermatch at competitions.
maybe it's a good gun review tip?!
I can't wait for Carry version
that gun should have bigger trigger guard for gloved hands and at lest 8 rounds of 10mm.or 357sig or 40s&w.that would be great care gun.with or with out picatinny rail.
I have to agree with you. I own one and the trigger is fantastic, but the sight are disappointing...
Way too many reloads to make it through a stage."
This is my number uno channel for gun reviews, but perhaps focus a bit more on the 2 fails in the session. Just my $.02 and still a huge fan of this channel
Thanks for doing this vid! I just Dm’d you on IG the other day to see what you thought about this and you already were making the video lol will definitely patreon 👍🏼
Needs the feed ramps polished. Classic
Hi Chris. Where is your P210 target pistol made? The Swiss made P210 models are absolutely flawless in all respects. They are part of our heritage…… I am Swiss and probably a lacking in objectivity 😄
Love the ring of steel targets!
I wish you would have taken it to the tabletop and shown it a little more close up. Perhaps even disassembled it. Other than that, great job.
1000 round review is more detailed
I wanna know how you cut the grass with all those casings in the yard!
